This is a very quiet campground, which is enforced by the camp host. people violating quiet hours will be asked to leave, with a call to the sherriff upon refusal. The camp host keeps a very close eye on everyone and everything. This made me feel very safe. The only noise comes from industry across the Sacramento river. There is a nature preserve adjacent with trails. This area is a 'Fly way' for migratory birds. We would stay again. The website on recreation.gov is difficult to navigate if you are trying to determine which sites have hook ups or not. Try calling the park host if they provide a number.

Make sure you are reserving the correct spot or you'll be in a non-electric spot hoping to plug-in. The host (gentleman) was magically able to get us into an electric spot. The last one!
Showers were fine. A little on the cooler side but refreshing. 0.25(quarter) for about 4 minutes. The women's handicap stall gave hot water.
We would come back again.

Clean and quiet. Stayed for one night as we passed through. Lots of trees

Report Check-In

Stayed in site 31 last night. We were co corner with the reviews about the camp host.
This or ing when we got up I was sitting in the front of the van and were were talking about how nice the area was and how the camp host didn’t seem to be a problem. Well right on que I see her coming our way.
I rolled the window down and she says that she doesnt see a reservation for my stay.
I showed her my Recreation.gov confirmation and receipt. She was still pretty short with me because it wasn’t in her system.
She said she would talk to Recreation.GIV and wishes us safe travels and left.
Overall it is a very quiet, pretty camping area not far from town if you need anything.
We would stay again.
FYI…we rolled in at 9:15 just before they lock the gate.

Only a few other campers here. The host says payment needs to be done on Recreation. Gov
Located on the Sacramento River it is far enough from I 5 to not hear it. Lots of beautiful trees and some walks with lots of birds. The sites are flat and a little close together. It might seem a little tight if they were full but quite pleasant now.
3 bars of Verizon LTE.
A sweet place.

Very nice, quiet campground. Not busy in January. Enough nature trails - paved even - to get a little lost. $25 by reservation at rec.gov. I called the toll free number and escaped paying the $8 reservation fee. Showers need quarters and we didn’t have any. Camp host was off duty

Report Check-In

Bathrooms at campground were locked so moved to the rest area 5 miles to the north.

Very noisy train, but large area for any size (& multiple) rigs.

Got woken up at 5am to a bunch of knocks around my car? Was planning on paying in the am and dang they def woke me up and in the middle of a rain storm. By the time I got up no on was there. Sketchy…

Nice simple campground on the river. Clean bathrooms and showers. short walk to the (huge) river. Relatively cheap. Very quiet. Easy bike path. Nature center. Great for an overnight stop and dip in the river.

Report Check-In

Nice, clean and quiet! Would recommend this place. Did not try the bathroom. And never saw the park host. They do close the park gate at some point in the evening. But your reservation email will have a gate code to get in.
T-Mobile works great here. I have an RV site with electric and water. 30amp outlet was out of order. But there is a 50amp and 110 outlet. Only thing I didn’t like was my door opens to the wrong side of the site…#15. Looks like others sites are better situated.
$25 + $8 reservation fee.
Reservation is required from recreation.gov

In fact there are showers and non-pit toilets now (in addition to pit toilets). A fairly simple campground. Not too big, quiet, flat, some trees. You can quickly walk to the edge of the Sacramento river and take it in.

Report Check-In

At time of visit, restrooms are closed. No showers! Site has portable toilets only. Host can be friendly and grumpy.
