We stayed here for 1 night to wait out a storm. It was so quiet with the amount of people who were also there. We parked our sprinter van toward the exit on the “car” side. Some noise in the morning but that’s expected. The bathrooms was amazing and so clean.

Report Check-In

Stayed here one night and half of the day resting in between loads. I drive a sprinter van and I am always on the road. Texas by far has the nicest and cleanest rest areas and highways I've ever seen compared to any other state and I have been all over the country. Very beautiful rest area. Great cell service and was super quiet all night. I arrived around midnight and slept like a baby.

As usual, Texas outdid themselves with a beautiful rest stop. Clean, well lit, picnic tables, boardwalks, nature education plaques, grills, clean bathrooms. there is a semi area and a car area. we chose the car area and were a little too long at 24 ft (with our generator shelf on back). good Verizon signal but the highway noise was LOUD. I didn't sleep well near the exit. maybe look for a spot in the middle so the trees can block some sound. there are a couple of stray cats there and we saw an armadillo and raccoon.

Report Check-In

Great rest stop with cool walkways and super clean bathrooms. Plant signs, history markers and a very nice security guard. Not super quiet. You can hear the freeway and the semis resting in the back but it becomes white noise. Felt safe.

Good place to spend a night. quieter then most rest areas. clean facility and security onsite.

Report Check-In

Good for one night sleep. We are in a Sprinter van and chose to stay with the semis. Some noise in the morning when they are leaving, but to be expected. Clean bathrooms and nicely maintained grounds.

Wow what a nice place, beautiful restrooms. Unfortunately, they don’t have showers.
The place is hidden from the road by two lanes of threes so truckers could sleep quietly.

Great spot to sleep. There is a truck side and a car side. Not sure why the previous reviewer was bothered by truck sounds...it’s so much better than a regular rest area where everyone is mixed in together. Facilities are awesome and clean, very cool mosaics and metal work, grounds have an awesome picnic area. I like how the grounds create many different spaces, areas to walk and tables to sit at that feel slightly secluded versus some strip of barren land on the side of the highway where you have to find a bush in plain sight to pee in if ya gotta go. Yes, I’ve done that. Oh, I also saw some cute and not surprisingly fat coons. If you have dogs, be aware of this since I’m sure they aren’t scared one bit to come in contact.

Any of the new Texas rest areas are safe and so clean. They have a side for trucks and cars. I have slept at many of these new rest areas and never had a problem.

Report Check-In

We stayed the other side, west bound, but it was good too. Ear plugs are needed from the noise of trucks coming and going. Wifi wasn't usable. Note we stayed in our rooftop tent and the staff were cool with that.
