Something not right?

Description

Just a block uphill from the main square, this was a great place to spend a few nights. There is no supermarket in the town and like everywhere else in Northern Argentina, all of the shops will close between 1pm and 6pm. Plan accordingly. There is wifi, but we had to beg for the password as we were told it was only for guests staying in the hotel. We also has to beg for the receptionist to charge our laptops. There are no outlets in the camping area.
Up to the size of a Sprinter van ok.
250 peso pppn.

Now called „camping encantada“. The yard is dusty, like everything in this region, but still ok. You can find a bit of shade under some trees. The facilities are mostly clean, showers hot, everything very basic. The duenos are not really friendly. Charged us 300p pp and 100p for the car. Our friends only paid 600p. When we asked for the reason they claimed, that it is not true, the als paid 700p (so the clients are lying). We spent there two nights (just because of our friends), the owners never showed up to ask if everything is ok, two toilets were not cleaned once during that time. Wifi is very slow, still no electricity. At least it is very close to town.

Great place, just outside of town. Clean bathrooms with seats. A sprinter can park under the two trees for a tiny little bit of shade. Big stage like area with a roof where we set up our table and chairs, complete shade there. No problem with WiFi password. Lady wasn’t unfriendly. Waaaaaaay better than all campsites in Humahuaca.

To be honest, I find the place absolutely fine. The guy I met was pleasant enough. I speak reasonable Spanish so maybe that helps. In any case, I stayed in my truck camper. He was concerned about the one cable running across to the first outbuilding, but I passed under fine with his guidance and I'm 3.2m, and as the only person there I had plenty of space. Better check first in case there are others there. Completely flat hard surface. Not much shade But since there's no power outlets that was fine for the solar panels. Was given the WiFi password without issue. It didn't really reach where i was so can't comment on the speed, but there's great mobile data (on claro for me). Toilets are absolutely fine. Better than basic in my opinion, and I've stayed in a lot of places which were BASIC. 3 clean toilets (with seats!). 3 individual, clean showers with piping hot water and good pressure. Can not beat the location. By far the best of all. Across the road to the square and right under the cerro, and next to the cemetery road. I paid Ar$250 per night.

The lady stills very unfriendly. The price is now 300pp. Simple facilities, no TP.

Decent place, at least much better than the Colorado camping we tried first. Girl we met not very friendly indeed. 250 peso pp for just 2 people 2 bikes and a tent.

Report Check-In

Great location but wanted 200 pp even for young kids + 100 for car. So we went to old municipal instead for 1/3 the price.

Report Check-In

Wanted 200pp including child, plus 100 for car. Not friendly. Didn’t stay.

Report Check-In

150pp and wanted another 100 for 1 moto. Other option dorm bed in 3 bed dorm 200pp. So same price for the 2 of us. No kitchen to cook if you choose a dorm bed and bathrooms are the ones for dorms/camping are the same. Owner wasn't here and the girl we spoke with wasn't very friendly. Prob a good option of you're in a car.

Best location in Purmamarca, but showers and bathroom could be better. Wifi is not too bad either. A bit pricey at 100 pesos pp.

Very basic camp ground with rundown facilities.Good for a night or two on your way to Hama Pass

Report Check-In

We paid 100 Pesos per person and nothing for our small van. Everything was clean, as well as the facilities. Good WiFi in the morning and evening. Nice small town and surrounding included. Friendly stuff! We stayed two nights.

Report Check-In

Very unfriendly and asked for 100 pp and 50 for the car. Way too much, so we left.

Nice view of the montains. They charge $70 per person. Good shower, no energy spots (they charge $3 for charging equipments). No toilet peper included. They offer simple breakfast (bread and coffee or tea) $45 pp.

Unfriendly staff.
Expensive dormitory (for what it is), very small beds. close to center.
Internet signal is either weak or not functional.

Report Check-In

We dropped by here to ask the price, lady was very unfriendly. Price was 180 in total (60 p/p for two people and 60 for the van), which is more expensive than taking two beds. We tried to haggle to 140 but she refused, we stayed elsewhere.

Owner not very friendly, no electricity, WiFi uncredible slow, showers hot. They charged us 200 Pesos, that is to expensive. Advantage, is save and close to touristic center. To walk the Camino de Colorades is a Must, beautiful colorful landscape.

Nice Place. Friendly People. Password for wifi no Problem. Clean Toilets and OK showers.

Report Check-In

Best and least expensive place in this small town. We took 2 beds for 80 each...a good deal. Staff was not very helpful as others have noted but if you have a camper or want to camp the location is great. WiFi was poor and did not work often..When the 1 outlet in our room failed....they did not care and would not let us move...if you are looking for a private room...Colorado next store is a better value at 450...

They seemed nice enough to us. Also let our dog stay and charged A$50/pp. good location right in town walking distance to lots of cute restaurants and bars that have live music. Username: La Casa Encantada Password: [Password removed by Moderator.]

The area is nice, but we also had problems when asking for the password. The girl was very impatient as I asked her to repeat it slowly, she did it faster. We had a disagreement. Only when leaving (heading Paso de Jama) did we found out there was another camping area just out of town.

Report Check-In

Sign says 100 pesos person for camping but when we asked the woman said 60. Gave up the wifi password without begging, but told us we had to be out of the hotel common area by 8
