Slept in front of the hostel in our van. Looks like with a new name comes new ownership, since the owner said he'd never done this before!

Agreed on $3US/night for two in a van with access to the pool, wifi, and bathrooms, but no showers. Apparently those are in the rooms, so we can't reach them. (EDIT: The next morning, as we stocked up on snacks just before leaving the owner offered us showers after the occupants of the room checked out, but we declined as we had to leave)
He was hesitant to let us stay directly in front of the hostel (where the WiFi will reach the van) as he uses the spaces, but relented when I said we'd be there only one or two nights.

He speaks pretty good English.

Fairly quiet night traffic-wise, but I believe there's a curfew in place right now, so there were men biking the city overnight patrolling with loud horns they'd blare periodically. Reasons aside, we occasionally (2-3 times) had a man bike past with a horn that would scream very loudly.

Name change! Now called Volcano Hostal. Private room/bath with A/C for both of us was $24 a night. (Super hot in Leon) Allowed us to park our motorcycles in their one-space garage. Still offer a lot of volcano tours and local advice. Convenient store in reception. Quiet at night

This is a very lovely hostel with great amenities for only $3 pp. Showers, bathroom, small pool, kitchen, great wifi and very kind staff. They allowed us to come in with our three dogs and had no issues with us. Street can get pretty loud and there are plenty of homeless people roaming around.

WARNING: We did get robbed while parked here and we were right in front of the hostel. However, we were not inside our camper at the time and somebody simply opened up one of our windows and sadly took one of our backpacks with lots of valuables inside.

It was our fault though, the window was left a little opened while we were inside the hostel. Just be careful and close everything up whenever you leave your home on wheels.

$3USD per night to sleep in the car. Street parking that gets loud with traffic at around 5:30am. The hostel had good WiFi, clean toilets, small pool, hammocks, kitchen, and offers a lot of tours. We did Cerro Negro Volcano Boarding with them and had an awesome time ($25USD per person, includes tshirt, transportation to/from volcano, fruit snack at the end). This hostel is centrally located and made it easy for us to explore the city, sight see, get to the central market, and the movie theater. The staff were friendly, polite, and very accommodating. We highly recommend it!

We stayed parked outside for two nights and were able to use the facilities for $3pp. We also did the Cerro Negro sandboarding tour with them for $25pp, which included transportation, entrance, gear, a tank top and watermelon at the end. The proceeds help with their ecotourism education. Absolutely lovely people, clean, and walkable :)

good place. Space to park our 20 ft in front, on the street. Rooms are clean. 19$ per night for 2 pp in private room with a double and a single bed plus one fan and a window you can open but without a bug screen. We could bring our 2 cats in with us. Kitchen access, everything you need except a fridge. Small pool and quiet.
