Down a dirt road 100 yards or so to a clearing w a nice view of Mt. Hood. Only one campsite but could perhaps squeeze two vehicles in. I drove Promaster in with someone pulling aside a few branches in the road. Larger rigs or trailers you’ll want to walk in first to assess. Fire ring. Quiet and private though a few vehicles drove down in the 24 hours we were here hoping spot was vacant. Nice spot. 1 bar Tmobile.

This is a pretty place, good view of the sky for a few hours of solar charge, if needed. You can see Mount Hood towards the west, on the downslope side. There is some Google FI connectivity, not sure good enough to thether, but enough for basic stuff on the phone. For Starlink, I had to point the dish flat up and was able to use normally. If you just use the normal mount and position it will get obstructions towards the horizon and you'll experience outages. Be aware that on 9/25/23 in the morning I heard a tree coming down. This tree did not fall all the way to the ground, but it stayed resting in a leaning position on the branches of another tree. This is around half way in the driveway, on the West side of it. I heard some creaking afterwards, with almost no wind, so I would assume this tree will come down sooner rather than later, and this may block the way in, or block you from coming out. You may want to make sure you have a plan for either case.

Report Check-InSuper easy to get to - road was really clear and it’s just a very short turn off of the well-maintained NF road. Site was a little dirty - paper plates by the fire pit and lots of bullet casings sprinkled over the ground. We were a little hesitant at first but the spot was super quiet and no one drove down to the site at all.
View was spectacular and 100% worth it. Recommend bringing a tarp and ground sheet to sit on because the dirt picks up in the wind and it does get hot in the direct sun midday.
Great spot to stargaze and catch a view of Hood. Next time we'll get here early enough to enjoy a sunset! Wonderful spot.
Report Check-InSmall spot for 2 (maybe 3) rigs with great views of Mt Hood at the end of a short gravel road. Fire pit already on spot. If spot already occupied you'll need to back up in reverse to road.
Report Check-InDown a little gravel spur is this spot with nice view of mt hood. Fire ring and plenty of room to turn around. 1 bar Tmobile
