Latest Check-Ins

Stayed one night due to lack of other options. Can’t really recommend. 50s per night.
Bathroom was ok, hotel itself has seen better days. Wi-Fi was not working during our stay. I felt sorry for the Alpaca in the backyard.

Report Check-In

After all the comments below we wanted to stay for 3 or 4 nights. But the price is changed, they wanted 50 sol per night, after showing the comments that people paid 30. They came down only 5 sol. For that reason we only stayed 1 night. 45 for staying on a parking lot with super bad wifi and only electricity if you have an extension more than 30m is way to much I think. We could use a room for shower and toilet and they were good.

Report Check-In

arrived here around 7pm. Night guard was nice and first said campers aren't allowed. Then made a phonecall and said its possible but for 50soles, and only for one night. We thanked for the offer and stayed near the Andes hostel.

Nice place to stay some nights, good wi-fi. but there is only one faucet that does not fit any hose, só they allowed us to use one restroom, but the water took like 40 minutes to warm up! bisides, there are some trucks that the parking lot, they start to go at 4am and make some noise. we paid 30 soles/night, expensive for what they ofter...

Beautiful place with super nice and helpful staff.
Spent 8 days here (30 soles per night for 2 persons, 1 van and 1 dog).
Very good wifi, although it might not work with every device in your van on the camping ground.
We could use the rooms they were renovating at the moment for shower, charging phone and toilet. Was clean.
(Not sure if the use of the rooms is possible after the renovation but we think so)

Report Check-In

As described in recent posts and still 30 soles per vehicle to camp. Reasonably quiet for an in town location and felt secure as the field is fenced at gates with 24 hr security. You can pay with credit card too. Hotel has seen better days but staff are nice and there is a reasonable restaurant inside if you don't want to cook.

Report Check-In

Spent one night in the grassy field behind the hotel, shared with a few cows, Alpacas and a donkey. It was a peaceful night considering you are in the town. No height restrictions.
Paid 30 S for 2 people in a truck camper.

Report Check-In

As described but perfectly acceptable. For big rigs the price was fine. Staff very friendly. We were unable to connect to wifi in our truck, had to go inside. Parking is around back in a big field that you share with some animals. Entrance is restricted with peaked center, we are 3.5m tall and we're just able to fit in. Wouldn't recommend for anything taller.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

It is not cheap but it’s one of the few places you can stay and camp in your car or camper. Huge grassy field, WiFi worked fine in the car, $15 soles per person, $20 soles extra if you want a hot shower, pet friendly and close to downtown area. Security staff was very friendly.

Report Check-In

Okay for a night, expensive for what you get. We got caught late in a big storm so we ended up here. Basic bathrooms in the field where you park, women's were filthy and the men's clean. Lots of road noise at night, a crew started construction work at 7am the next morning. WiFi barely reached the van. S/30 for the night without showers.

Report Check-In

We parked in the grassy field behind the hotel with the alpacas. Had access to restrooms and for one night paid the 50s to use the hot showers. Otherwise, it's 30s.
Had no problem with height entrance.
Helped us locate a locksmith for a stuck camper key.
But they do a lot of parties that can go into late hours.
Fast wifi in back grassy area right by back door.

Report Check-In

Of course, it is expensive for Peru and what you get, but the position is good. It is not far to the town center and the Restaurant "La Buona Pizza" is only few blocks away. They have nearly everything, not only pizza. The food is greate and the prices are fair. I tried to check in this place here but it didn't work :-(. It's by S 9.517581 / W 77.530086.

Report Check-In

No problem for big rigs! Ask at reception for the gate at the other side. There is a big gate with no roof, no height restrictions. The gate is at S9.51258 W77.53054. Very nice manager and nice staff.

Report Check-In

The price is now 50s to stay the night with a shower and toilet. If you do not need shower and toilet it is 30s. Big parking lot good option for town. Since it is a big hotel they hold events and concerts. Make sure to ask if there is anything going on before staying the night as they go until 2 in the morning.

30 soles pour se garer sur le parking et 50 soles en plus pour la douche !!! pas d'accord....

Report Check-In

30soles sur un grand espace derrière l'hôtel, sans eau ni électricité et une mauvaise wifi, il vaut mieux aller dans une cochera pour 5 soles, par contre aucun bruit

Report Check-In

It's a good place, but wifi doesn't work at the parking lot and the bathroom was just inside the hotel

Report Check-In

We were charged 30 soles for 2 ppl but they didn't have a shower available because all rooms were taken.
Toilets not that clean, but on the bright side not much traffic because of semana santa.

Report Check-In

We didn't fancy putting the roof tent up in the car park and they were OK with us staying on the grass at the back (with the Lamas). It is tucked right round the back of the rooms so protected from the road and a lot quieter than the car park. Paid 40S, fast wifi and had a very nice fresh cooked Lasagne for 18s.

Report Check-In

we visit the place with our RV and stayed two nights, payed 40 soles per night. we received a room key for usage the shower. with a long cord we got power from the room. there is free @. the hotel is not the latest fashion, but for a stop over ist was o.k. very friendly, for them it's normel that overlanders with RV asked for a stay. opposite the road is a small good panaderia. they sell multigrain bread rolls and appel strudel. :-))

Report Check-In

An ok place to stay overnight, good place for exploring town. taxi ride in is s1 each( colectivo) . Price is s60 to camp in the big parking lot next to the very noisy highway with access to showers (hot) and bathrooms. The best wifi is in the lobby but can reach the parking lot. There are comfy chairs around the place to relax. They have rooms available ( which we got the 3rd day) which are nice, much nicer than the camper room. They are s100 each. There is a restraunt on site with good food, reasonably priced. Also they have llamas in the backyard. Electricity available someplaces also potable water.

Report Check-In

Price has jumped again. It is now 60 Soles for access to toilets, showers and wifi. Basically you are paying for the use of the room. If you just want to park and not use these services, it is 30 Soles. We stayed here 3 nights as it is really the only place for vehicle camping in town. Rumor has it that a new campground has opened in the area, so we will post that info as soon as we get it.

Report Check-In

price has now increased to 50 sol/night
very noisy on friday night (party just behind)
water very dirty

Report Check-In

A little noisy but wifi reaches parking lot. Hot showers. I needed ear plugs to sleep, but it got quieter at night. Rooms are filthy. Only camp here, don't come for the room.

Report Check-In

Pretty much the only place in Huaraz where you can stay. The road is very close but the taxis will eventually stop honking at night. If you have a light sleep, bring earplugs. Decent shower and toilet in unused hotelroom. Safe place to park your car and explore the city or make arrangements for trips in the cordillera blanca. Taxis are 3 Soles to the city center. Price: 30 Soles

Report Check-In

The so called luxury hotel promised more by name than in reality. Camping in the parking lot in front of the hotel. Quite noisy because of the close Panamericana. We were given a key for a bathroom in a room which has been used by many workers as well and was in poor condition and dirty. Free WIFI.

Good laundry in Huaraz (S 77.52937 9.52731 W): 5 Soles / kg.

From here head south to the giant bromeliads Puya Raimondi (S 77.26965 9.87994 W, 4,263 m) and the Pastoruri glacier (S 77.18549 9.89931 W, 4,840 m) in the Huascaran National Park (5 Soles admission per person).
