No “no overnight parking” signs. Parking lot overlooks the absolutely breathtaking view of the beach. We had no problem, except one car came late in the night and had some music playing.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Winding industrial road out of Saint John but worth the trip. There on a Friday night and was a local hangout with some fireworks being set off late but quieted down after midnight. Great spot to see the tide change.
Report Check-InAwesome place for a night or two. Clean washrooms at site. Seems like some locals come in over weekend to hang out but had no issues and all quite. The views couldn’t just get any better with being right at the beach.
Please keep the place clean, leave nothing but footprints….cheers and safe travels!
Magnifique place.
Report Check-InReally lovely spot, and popular heading into a long weekend. Stayed two nights with my teardrop and did some mountain biking in the two parks north and north east of the city.
The second night, a local taught me about periwinkels (sea snails), collected a meal's worth with me, and showed me how to boil them. Yummy!
One of the better stays this entire trip.
Very nice place to stop for the night, during the day there is a lot of locals but they left around 7pm. We set our tent up on the beach. A couple people came to the beach during the night but they didn’t stay very long. A couple vans also spent the night. There is bathrooms and sinks on site. It is worth stopping for the night
Report Check-InOther places in St. John did not seem welcoming. This place definitely was beautiful! Couple other vans there. Some kids played basketball till midnight hope they make it to the nba.
Report Check-InA very beautiful and well frequented spot. Around ten rigs here overnight, but very quiet. There are toilets on site but were locked at around 18.30.
Report Check-InGreat spot. Lots of space. We've been driving every day for a week and needed a break, so we stayed for 2 nights.
We were the only ones here the Saturday night and 6 vehicles on Sunday. Very busy place, but quieted around midnight on Saturday (earlier on Sunday), and we slept like babies both nights.
Beautiful beach. Great views. Keep it clean for future use!
Report Check-InQuiet overnight & woke up to see 6 others camped here too. Lots of locals & families visit the beach during daylight hours & every one was friendly. The beach area is spacious at low tide with lots of areas to explore.
Foggy during our visit so didn’t see structures in the distance on the shoreline. The road is paved & the lot was level enough.
Air quality was 1 AQI ♥️
Trash bins available so picked up what we saw on the beach & lot area. It was quite clean to begin with. Porta potty & Ready John on site.
Report Check-InRainy foggy but beautiful and quiet... it's one of those places that is always nice and beautiful no matter the weather. I live in my van so I appreciaite things differntly I suppose.
Report Check-InThis is a great place. we arrived during low tide and walked the beach 8 hours later at high tide the beach almost disappeared. A number of people come here to explore walk their dogs etc. There was one other converted van here. The washrooms are gone.
Report Check-InWhen we got here late in the season there were no more toilets and the trails were closed. We stayed two nights and each night some kids came down to the beach in the middle of the night and set fireworks off next to our van. Pretty annoying but no other bothers after they left.
Report Check-InNice spot for the night. Convenient to/from Saint John. Great sandy beach, went swimming, nice view and sunset, though there is an oil refinery in the view. Very large gravel lot, 3 vehicles overnight. Portapotty available 24hrs and a “ready John” with “nicer” toilets available until about 8pm and unlocked again around 9am. Has garbage bins, picnic table, playground. Busy until dark.
Report Check-InBeautiful place face to the water with washroom. Quiet and a lot of place. The toilet are locked at 23h and reopen at 8h in the morning!
Report Check-InGreat place! Quiet at night, Amazing view! Level of water goes up at night but doesn’t reach the level of the parking lot. Park for kids to play, little trail that goes in the woods. We were a few vans on spot for the night.
Report Check-InWhat a great place to stay. No signs and the both nites I stayed there were several of us. The View and sunsets are Fabulous.
Great spot! A few locals coming and going before midnight, but perfectly quiet after that. A security person came and locked the nicer bathrooms at night and unlocked them again in the morning - this person didn't seem to care that there were 5 vehicles there overnight. (There's still an outhouse available overnight, just not as good as the "nice bathrooms" that get locked.
Not much in the way of privacy if others are there as well, but great view, great sounds at night, and incredibly convenient if you're headed to St. John in the morning.
Report Check-InGood place, very quiet, lot of space, one table available and toilets that close at night and open the morning. another chemical toilet available all the time.
Report Check-InWe spent 2 nights here with our 33 ft pull behind camper. We pulled over to the side by the driveway so as not to take up too much of the parking lot and this also meant we walked out our door onto the grass. This place is gorgeous, overlooking a beautiful beach. I was able to take my new inflatable paddle board out. The locals were very friendly. No one batted an eye at our setup and 2 other boondockers were there in their vans the 1st night and there were 3 on the second night. During the day there are people coming and going. There are swings and a small playground for kids. There are occasionally planes coming in fairly low overhead as its near the airport but we never found it bothersome.Love this place and hope to go back again.
Report Check-InSpent 2 nights here. A popular beach with locals. A group showed up around 11pm but they went down to the Beach and we weren't disturbed.
Report Check-InGreat place with wide beach. Big gas/oil structure in the background but got use to it (illuminated at night) calm and safe place to sleep and spend the day. I recommend going at the end of the road toward lighthouse as scenery is beautiful (walking path).
Report Check-InGreat Spot!! Easy to pull into after long hours of travel. We were here with a 40 ft motor coach and we fit comfortably with more than enough room to do donuts in the parking lot. The views are worth it. It’s quiet and so peaceful, sleep with your windows open and enjoy the sounds of the waves. The parking lot is gravel. No washrooms. Clean area and very little to no local traffic. Please if you visit, keep it clean and respect the area. It’s good to have nice things :)
Report Check-InGreat view of the large beach from the parking lot. Three vehicles camping here tonight. Lots of space, playground, picnic table.Portable toilets. Fall asleep to the sounds of the crashing waves, wonderful spot!
Report Check-InGreat and huge parking lot right in front the beach with an expansive ocean view.
The parking lot is superimpose to the beach and ocean .
I stayed there one night .
We was 4 travellers with different equipment.
I was there with my 37 ‘ Motorhome and no problem at all to fit anywhere on the parking lot ( lot of spaces )
I recommend this place to all :)
No signs as of July 6th 2021, beautiful place, definitely worth the ride (20 minutes from downtown)! You can see the difference between the tide, the beach is breathtaking. Bathrooms are available when the beach is open, but there was an outdoor chemical toilet.
Report Check-InNo “no overnight parking” signs. Parking lot over looks the absolutely breathtaking view of the beach. We had no problem, except one car came late in the night and had some music playing.
