Paved pull off on west side of 101. Sits on a bluff overlooking the Pacific with a path for beach access. No 'prohibited' signs (yet). Stayed here after trying the other spots further south which all have signs or were full. We were joined by 4-5 other campers by nightfall.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Stayed here for 2 night with no problems. A few other vans here and an RV that was there for a few days.
Report Check-InGreat view on the ocean, road noise decreasing during the night.
A lot of space if you arrive early to park parallel to the beach.
Big pull off on the west side of the highway. Lots of parking for rigs of all sizes. Pulled up in our truck camper around 1 and were joined by a few vans and car sleepers. A bit of road noise and traffic but it dies down after sunset.
Talk about sunset views.
We parked here for the night. There’s a sign saying 'no camping allowed' but we talked to the local and he said it’s ok to stay. He said they used to be strict about it a couple of years ago, hence the sign, but no one cares anymore. Couple of other vans, and some noise from the cars driving by but not bad. We had a great night sleep and woke up to a beautiful view
Report Check-InGot the knock at the 101 pull off in Gold Beach and was told to come here. Spent a few nights here. Always a few other vehicles as well. Loud from the traffic noise but no one bothered us. Very little cell service
Report Check-InBeautiful view with some road noise, was not bothered. Joined by 5-6 other cars/vans.
Report Check-InVery chill spot, awesome sunset. 2 other camper vans and a car camper joined me around sunset. Spotty Verizon. Some road noise. No one bothered us. Pup loved the beach! Would stay again.
Report Check-InStayed one night here. Absolutely gorgeous. Took the dogs for a run on the beach as well.
Report Check-InStill no “no camping” sign. Large pull out with lots of room. Beautiful views. Relatively quiet, with the occasional Semis going by.
Report Check-InBest stop on the coast. Beautiful sunset with a couple taking wedding photos here. Only one other camper overnight. Some road noise but the morning views were outstanding.
Report Check-InGreat spot looking over the ocean. I got here around 6pm left around 10am with no issues. There were three other vehicles parked overnight. No Verizon service but I connected to starlink great.
Report Check-InNo signs around. Pretty large spot but we were the only ones there on a sunday night and nobody bothered us. There is road noise in the morning, but we sleep with a white noise and didn’t notice it before our alarms. Also there will be lots of sightseeing folks in the morning all around you. The views from this spot are some of the best! We stayed one night and didn’t leave the next day until after lunch
Report Check-InSuch a great sight! It's a large pull out and there were several other people there the night I stayed as well. Minimal road noise. Absolutely great view to wake up to! Did not see any no parking signs.
Report Check-InMedium sized paved pullout. Fairly busy hwy until dusk, but very quiet after that. Windy afternoon/ eve, but wind died at dusk and we had GREAT sunset. Great view and very short 20 yard path to beach. No NO signs and no knocks, but also no potty. Will stay here again.
Report Check-InTerrible road noise, not drowned out by the waves. Should have stayed at one of the other pullouts to the north which aren't situated in wide open spots like this one. Wouldn't stay here again.
Report Check-Inbeach is outstanding, noise from highway is not. might have been the ride was low last night, but the highway traffic was really loud. the next 2 pullouts further south on the 101 may have been better choices.
Report Check-InNice place! Didn’t find anything better in this stretch of the coast: it had the best view (and direct beach access) and is level. We even had a little barbecue here. We were the only vehicle overnighting. It’s right next to the highway, but traffic dies out at night and as others have said: the sound of the ocean really covers the sound of traffic. Great!
Report Check-InGreat Place to spend the night. Hiked down to the beach before sunset and cooked a meal as the sun was setting. Decent amount of road noise but that comes with these pull-outs. Also the lot filled up quick by 8AM the next morning.
Report Check-InI didn’t see any No overnight or no camping signs here. Potentially a viable spot. Any size large rig would fit here.
Report Check-InStayed the night. No problem. Joined by a couple other passenger vehicles
Report Check-InStay here most of the time I’m in the area. Always super easy. Large lot. Mostly level. Usually wake up to a handful of other vehicles.
Report Check-InSuch a beautiful view on the ocean. It's quite noisy because of the road but for the view, it is worth it !
Possible to surf here.
No cell phone.
Awesome spot, right in the water. I spent the night there with a few other vans. The sound of the waves covers the highway. Please keep it clean!
Report Check-InGreat spot along the Oregon coast. Got here around 5pm and stayed well into the next day exploring the awesome beach. No one bothered us. Had a few other campers, someone in a tent, van, and 2 other cars spend the night along with us. Amazing sunset and super cool beach that our dog loved. Road noise died down st night. No service here but got full service the pullout behind us. Please be respectful and keep this place clean as pullouts along the 101 that are free, legal, and feature amazing views are hard to come by. Would recommend, and will be back.
Report Check-InAwesome spot for a night. Similar to previous poster, the minimal traffic noise was drowned out by the waves crashing. Lots of pull offs on this road looked great. Did a fun hike in the morning - Natural Bridge. Cell service was spotty.
Report Check-InNice big slightly off level place for multiple vehicles. there are lots of pull off along the stretch of road, about half of them have signed about no camping. pulled in and found one 24-foot class a here, as a bedtime, no one else here yet. hoping that it's quiet and don't get disturbed. traffic is moderate on the highway and I expected to die down overnight. Access to a great beach and beautiful view.
Report Check-Instill no signs prohibiting parking overnight. beautiful and feels relatively safe with pretty regular traffic. spotty cell phone signal but a solid choice for a night of rest for now.
Report Check-InIncredible. Absolutely incredible. Yes it’s near the road so some noice, but the beach is remarkable to wander around through the massive rocks. Endless views and crashing waves. Oregon coast at its best. (In and out T-Mobile but workable)
Report Check-InGorgeous spot overlooking the beach. Very windy when I was here, but absolutely beautiful.
Report Check-InGreat viewpoint with ample parking space for overnighting. Noise from cars on 101 was easily drowned out by the pumping waves! Such a beautiful place to stay.
Report Check-InNice wide area for big rigs. It’s on the side of a hwy so it’s not for light sleepers. The view is beautiful and you can walk down to the beach. The beach is nice, lots of star fish and sea anemones. It’s a popular stop so expect lots of traffic until after sunset. Cell service is not great for talking but texting is good. For what it is the view is great, the parking is good and it’s nice to wake up to such a beautiful View.
