The first part isn’t flat so we went down the road. It is bumpy but can be done with a van. We parked on a flat spot close to a trailer that seem to be installed semi-permanently. There was nobody in it. But at 10h pm, just as we were in bed, they arrived and put on some loud dance music. They clearly wanted us to go away. That’s what we did. We had to find an other spot in the dark. It was quite busy for a sunday night.
In the morning we saw a few locals installed there semi-permanently also…
I would say that the spot is great if you can go down the road and do NOT park next to the trailer!
Highly recommend this location, we showed up in complete blackness and the road seemed sketchy but it was safe if you go slow driving a Ford transit with two dogs. A perfect free hiding place in Kelona so glad we found it and definitely will be back
Report Check-InNot very flat so went up the road to an area by the creek others had mentioned. A bit of traffic down the road so not super private and quite dirty. Fine for a night though, nice little creek for water.
Report Check-InNice spots about a KM up that road. A little rough, but ok for a van.
Report Check-InPreferred the spot 1km up as it's more level and directly by a little creek. Very little traffic and kind locals. Two fire pits but campfires are currently banned!
Report Check-InThere are better spots at least 3 or 4, right by the creek, not more than 1km up this road.
Report Check-InVery busy spot with lots of local lads who seem to have moved in semi-permanently in an RV trailer. Continue 700m down the trail (bit rough) to a nicer, quiet flat area alongside the stream, room for 2-3 vehicles. No facilities. Free.
Report Check-Inunofficial parking lot / clearing I'm wooded area. Fits 2 cars comfortably bit of you're in a group I think you could fit 4 to 6 cars. There's also some places to park in between trees like 20 ft before this lot in the woods. Seems to be designed for the trail next to it.
Report Check-InThere is beaten up parking area for the trail. I parked beside it in the woods because there was already a car there. The trees have enough space you can just drive through. There is a firepit here as well. Very quiet (Wednesday night). I saw a sign the requests to not use boom boxes so I'm guessing it may be frequented by teens during the weekends.
