Trailhead parking lot. Lots of room for campervans. Flat. Nice views. Away from the road and tracks. Popular trail so perhaps busy during the day. Dead quiet at night - except for occasional and subdued train noise. Zero amenities - just a place to park.

Report Check-In

Drove in late, saw sign with no camping symbol. Decided to stay closer to roadway instead of past the sign. Many cars on the roadway past midnight, lots of trains, quite loud for light sleepers, earplugs suggested. Ten cars and two train between 6:45-7:20am.

Report Check-In

A Local came and told us that this is private property and camping is not allowed here. It is a trailhead so not sure how it’s labelled as private property but we decided to move on either way as she came down to specifically tell us she would call the cops if we slept in our car here. Just wanted to post a heads up to others

Report Check-In

No sign of no overnight parking. Lot of people here are gold panners also hikers. Nice river. Also great for mountain biking .Pretty big and descent flat area

Report Check-In

As described. I use ear plugs, so didn’t notice any car/train noise. 1 group pulled up after dark to hike. Popular general area for overnight stays — I counted at least 5 others parked along Tranquille. Pretty sunrise

Report Check-In

Not too bad for a one-nighter. People using the trail well until dark, but pretty tranquille after. Have to get used to that honking train every few minutes...
The creek has a little green paradise around it, nice to walk before dusk.
