Pull-out near Asheville and the BRP with a view of town and the valley. Pins further down this road were closed due to weather, but we were able to sleep here without being bothered. This spot was very busy with many cars stopping by throughout the night. No amenities. Two bars of service on ATT.

: Can I camp along the Parkway or at an overlook?
A: The only place along the Parkway that you can primitive camp without a permit is along the Appalachian Trail from Rockfish Gap (MP 0) to Dripping Rock (MP 9.6). Other overnight camping is only permissible at the eight Parkway campgrounds.
Beautiful place, we stayed one night and it was quite quiet. The landscapes are extraordinary. The only drawback is that it was a night with a full moon and a lot of people stayed up late, but even so, the views during the day and at night are Fabulous. We will definitely come back here.
Report Check-InThis overlook is beautiful and there were a few other vans and busses. But beware, there were kids coming to party here til 3 am, playing music on full blast and yelling. They kept coming up to my van which freaked me out and I eventually set off the car alarm to get them to leave and then they came back. Did not sleep well and the mornings people arrive for sunset and are very loud too. If you’re looking for some good sleep, this is not the spot.
Report Check-InSuch an incredible spot! Constant flow of tourist throughout the day but quiets down at night. I stayed 2 nights no problem and will def be back. There is a trash can that came in very helpful. I suggest parking on the area closest to the trash can traffic seems to be on the left hand side of the lookout because the range you can see it the greatest. Wasn’t bothered and talked to some great people that were on the road!
Report Check-InBeautiful overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway 6 miles from downtown Asheville. Quiet at night but very busy at daybreak with visitors photographing the sunrise. 5 bars of T-Mobile.
Report Check-InBeautiful view. Stayed at next overlook up but stopped here for views on way back down. Worth a stop and still good spot to overnight at too.
Had a few Verizon bars that came in amd out between here and next pullout
