Description

Not far from the highway! In a small bit of State Trust Land surrounded by private land.
There was already a small established fire ring and some wood.

This is a great spot and the views are fantastic! I stayed here for multiple days and really enjoyed it.

Pretty good road coming in. I-40 is far enough that traffic is kind of white noise. peaceful. Made it here in a small suv, 2wd. Rainy weather may be a problem. Room enough for RV's or whatever you have. Plenty of turn around room.

I want to add a few comments about this site. I found it this afternoon and although I didn’t stay it is a very nice, quiet, location. The road leading to the site is mostly paved but not well maintained. Should be no problem for most vehicles. I drove my 26’ Class C to the site with no problem. The coordinates here are accurate and when you arrive and look to the right you can see the fire pit about 15 yards into the clearing. Now here’s my tip… If you don’t think you can drive over the berm at the side of the road to get to the site drive up a little further, maybe 30-40 yards and there is another way into the site, on your right, with no berm to navigate over. I didn’t stay the night because I needed cell data this evening and I was only getting 1 weak bar of LTE on Verizon.

Nice spot. Road noise is minimal. Big flat area. T-Mobile data speed was pretty slow, but good enough for emails.

Great spot. Pulled in pretty late. Our huge sprinter van handled the road just fine. Views were wonderful in the morning and we saw one other truck on our way out in the am. Make sure to sign in at the entrance and sign out when you leave. No cell on Verizon but we enjoyed it.

Great spot for the night. Lots of big turds around so I'd be careful pitching a tent. Got here at night and was able to appt the clearing just fine. Had lte on AT&T!
