Description

Very nice campground between huge rocks. No water available! We stayed at Site #3, were we could hang a hammock between two two Joshua trees. $15

This a very beautiful campground and it offers exceptional value for any rock climbers, many of the classics of Joshua Tree are in walking distance.
It’s a first come, first serve site. Rangers drive-by every morning to register, so there’s no need to go to the park entrances after you found a spot. Payment is credit card only.
Not a place for very long rigs, I think the maximum length is about 25ft.
Oh, and there’s free coffee organized by the climbing rangers every Saturday and Sunday by the climbing rangers!

Beautiful spot. Not super level, clean toilets, no water. We couldn't figure out how or where to pay though and no one came by!

Open all year around, also when other camp grounds are closed in the summer. You have to pay the fee at the entrance of the National Park, as there is no self registration anymore. Lots of free spots in the summer. If you climb one of the hills you also get some AT&T network. Very quiet and nice spot. Pit toiletts are smelly but okay. Bring your water as there is no water resource here.

lovely campground, first come first serve but if its full, ask nicely to share a bay with someone :)

$15 per night even if you have the America the Beautiful annual park pass according to the female Ranger that stopped by to collect the fee. Beautiful spot. We had trouble finding a spot big enough for our 21 ft RV, but eventually did. Quiet. No Verizon signal. Great place for dogs. Although no dogs allowed on the trails. Great place for bouldering. No water or electric. There are very stinky pit toilets you can smell 100 feet away so choose your spot accordingly. Picnic tables and fire rings (when not under fire restrictions).

Nice site in a FCFS campground. Private, among the rocks and Joshua trees in the middle of the park just off the park road. Only downside was that many people drove up and back down the road looking for a site all afternoon and late into the evening, even though all sites were filled. Then somebody pitched a tent next to the toilet for the night. Like what? Pit toilet was clean. Trash and recycle on the loop. NO cell service whatsoever.

really nice campground in JTNP! it's first come first serve, so you need to be there early to get a spot, especially on the weekend. $15 per night. unless you have the parks pass then it's half price. we were in the first spot on the right loop. the spots are small, we were in a 25 foot skoolie and it was very tight but we did fit. very quiet and close to some good hikes like barker Dam. there were squirrels everywhere, you're not allowed to feed them but they were chewing on the fire pit grate, and all over our picnic table. very cute but bold.

Beautiful campground, nothing has changed since 2016! 15$ first arrived first served spots, friendly but max 25 feet including bikes or extra cargo! Possible two cars on most sites.
