Mexico
Public parking in the center of Oaxaca, allows overnight camping. Great location, a few blocks from the zocalo. 24 hour security, quiet at night. No facilities other than toilets. It's a tight turn into the parking area: probably no RVs bigger than 25 ft will fit. Height no problem (our RV is 3.5 meters heigh). Pets ok.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Seems that the owner has seen the potential business of RVs coming to his parking... He is now asking 200 pesos per night + 200 pesos per day. Didn't want to give the internet password. Was not really friendly. But very good location and quiet after 10pm.
Report Check-Inwe got here around 6pm and were told 200p JUST for the night so we left. Too much for no services.
Report Check-In100 pesos - bathroom, security 24/24- in city center, parking of 15 sites with gates at the entrance. Quiet by night. RV 7,5 metres lenght and 3,3 metres tall
Report Check-InGreat place to spend the night, it's a parking lot that gets closed at night at 10pm but you can come in at anytime of your walking there's a night guard. Very quiet at felt very safe. Your right in town by all the markets and the zocalo.
Report Check-InParking lot near the old center with very basic restrooms. The gate gets closed at 22:00. M$10/h
Report Check-In150 per night. The parking lot was full of cars. One of the cars had the alarm going for half of the night...right next to us. Otherwise not too bad. Secure with a guard on duty 24 hours a day. The bathroom are usable, not ideal.
Report Check-InWe camped out in this parking lot, which was good considering it's a parking lot. Bathrooms, sparse electricity, and homemade ice cream! It's quiet here and the location is just a few blocks from the city center. The biggest issue is that they lock the gates at 10pm and there's no way in, so you've got to be back by 10.
Report Check-InThis place was great. We showed up at about 6:30 and they seemed completely unfazed when we asked if it was okay to park our Nissan Xterra and set up our tent overnight in their lot. Then, on our way out of the lot to explore town, Pablo called us over and fed us chipotle, avocados, oaxacan cheese on tostidos for no extra cost. He then gave us free ice cream! The lot closes around 10pm, so we had to get back a little early, but we had absolutely no complaints about our stay. Only M$100
Report Check-InSafe and quite. In the middle of the city. Kind of hard to get in as u are driving right in the center, but very nice to visit the zocalo and the markets.
Report Check-InQuiet after 11, easy to get into, very friendly staff and very central. We paid $100m for 2 people. There are toilets on site, but we didn't need to use them.
