Description

It's nice Seafood Restaurant in front of the beach. With a big parkinglot and bathrooms and showers. When you are eating at the place, you can sleep there for free and just for the night it's around 100 pesos (negiotiable). The owner Señora Janet and her husband are a really friendly couple. They have also cabañas for rent.

beautiful landscape! everything that was said before is true, except for bugs...but big wind!

Report Check-In

friendly people, beautiful beach. We were here when a cold front arrived from the Gulf, it created unbearable winds in all this area so we just spent the night and moved further. good cell coverage.

Report Check-In

Nice beach, cute restaurant and friendly people. Very good road into the property and nice beachfront parking. Very quiet midweek. Very windy, but helps keep it cooler.

Report Check-In

Restaurant was closed but they opened it up so that we could eat. Camped for free if we ate their food. Very dog friendly. Wide open parking for big rigs and the road wasn’t too bad getting in.

Great spot, delicious food (pricey but free camping so worth it). Gets hot in the day, especially if there’s no wind!

Report Check-In

Indeed beautiful spot, but it gets very hot and humid during the day...
The owner is very friendly and lets you sleep for free if you consume a meal at her restaurant. The prices are quite high though. For two little meals (we were still hungry afterwards), including one drink, we paid MXP300. Quite busy with locals on a Sunday, so bathrooms and shower were dirty. Who knows, if you come during the week you will enjoy it more ;)

beach front restaurant, lots of solid parking space, no risk of getting stuck!!Huge beach with pretty rough sea. Lots of yellow bellied sea snakes on the beach when we got here probably due to current changed after high winds. Reasonable bathrooms & showers free if you eat here

PERFECT place! Super sweet people, you stay for free if you eat their fresh fish in the restaurant! AMAZING beach! i can not believe nobodies there! Stayed 3 nights and had a hard time leaving! Beautifull birds toooooo! Stock up for breakfast and snacks, for the rest... relax and enjoy -> the water is perfect!!!!

Report Check-In

Stayed one night. Reports are all correct. Lovely owner and great views and beach access. Good toilets. Definitely worth stopping here.

such a nice place owned by Janet and his housband. they are very nice and the garden of the resturant where you park your van is in front of the huge and desert beach of playa azul. they have toilet and shower and the resturant is very good. if you eat there or you spend some money for beers and stuff you don't have to pay the night. such a good deal for what you get.

Report Check-In

A really beautiful beach here with nice rock formation ! Take a walk to the end of the beach. The family who owns is just adorable. The restaurant serves only fish food and close a 7pm. We can enjoyed the showers (cold but ok as it's warm outside). The place was crazy windy when we were here the all night. Try to park behind the house but not in front of the beach if it's windy.

Report Check-In

Beautiful beach and friendly people, BUT windy and buggy as others have mentioned, and with a serious undertow. It looked as though it hadn’t been straightened up in a long while: there were hundreds of empty beer and soda bottles in piles all around the place. We had a couple of beers there while waiting to order dinner, planning on the free camping if we ate there, as others mentioned. The owner eventually came out and said she was leaving, so no dinner but we could stay for free anyway. She recommended a neighboring restaurant along the beach, which was very good. Toilets don’t flush. Shower is cool but not too cold.

The Restaurant is called BUENA VISTA.:).
The road to Playa Azule had a couple of small water crossings and it was pretty rough dirt road.
I think you can camp in the parking lot or on the beach. We chose the beach right inside the gate. The surf looks like it comes pretty far up the beach, so we opted to stick close. Free camping in exchange for dinner. We had fresh huachinango. A tad pricey ($350) but the fish was good, fresh and quite large. It was made to order in the wood burning oven.
The BUGS! Worst campsite yet in MX for bugs. Sand fleas, flies, and mosquitoes galore. I don't know if it is the time or year or ??, but we were eaten alive despite bug repellant. The breeze died shortly after going to bed and it made for an uncomfortable muggy-buggy night.
Beautiful beach, friendly caretakers. Non-flushable toilet and "shower" available. We chose not to use it.

Report Check-In

Delicious food. Not a bad Price considering you get free camping. The owner is super sweet.

ps. The name of the restaurant is Buena Vista, not Bella.

Report Check-In

Stayed one night no issues but very very windy.

Report Check-In

Camping is free but food costs twice what you'd pay anywhere else (200 pesos for a fish and 30 for a lemonade, granted it's very tasty). I still think it's a good deal but wanted to warn the low budget travelers.

Stayed here for over a week. The owner, Janet, is extremely kind and accommodating. My friends and I ate one meal a day here (typically dinner) and with that, Janet let us string up our hammocks under her palapa for free. The food is very good and the setting is gorgeous. Has showers and bathrooms. No Wifi. Cabanas are also available for rent. I would highly recommend.

Report Check-In
