Something not right?

Description

A run down place that looks like it used to have everything. There is a restaurant up front, and some cabañas/rooms for rent. In the back there is a large field with the remains of hook up stations (and a car wreck or two..). Water is still running, but no electricity. They opened a room for us so we could use toilet and shower. We had the whole place to our selves (a few locals came by the restaurant for some drinks) the night we were there. Not particularly nice and quite expencive, but if you need a place to park for the night... Price: 20 belize $

This place is a big roundabout yard around the owners house. The lady owner is very nice, we paid 40 belize for 5 people. Because we were a family she opened up her bathroom and cold shower. There is a restaurant and shop and she makes her own bread. She also does laundry service . Electricity available. Cons : a rooster that has its times all messed up, makes noise all night. Safe place

B$20 per night. You can park on the property and have electricity via an extension cord into one of the rooms. We had access to a bathroom and shower which is shared with one of the workers. Sonya is the owner and is a friendly no-nonsense woman. She arranged our Lamanai boat tour. The tour operators picked us up and dropped us off. Their gorgeous rooster crows at midnight then again at 3 am and again almost hourly. :-)
