Something not right?

Description

Finca Bavaria is located in the city center, and let you camp on their property. A friendly old man was taking care of the place when we were there, and they have a restaurant. We went into town for dinner, and it was a really nice little town. Feelt safe, and there were plenty of restaurants and some grocery stores. Price: 200 Lempiras

Can only recommend this place as a last resort! Location near town and grounds are good but unfortunately the toilets are very dirty, with no running water and you would not want to risk stepping into the shower!
Besides these issues it can be quite noisy late into the night with music and very early in the morning with animals and loud bells. Not a great experience!

Report Check-In

150L for tent, 2 motorbikes and 2 people.

nous y avons passé 2 nuits. accueil chaleureux, wifi au restaurant, toilettes ou mais douche non fonctionnelle. 100 L pour la nuit . vraiment bien

Report Check-In

They asked us for 150L per person per night and aditional 150L for each car. We left.

Report Check-In

Paid 60HNL per person each night. Plenty of space to park and toilets available. There is a restaurant/bar but also you can cook your own stuff. Excellent location to sight see and visit all the places you'll want to see. WiFi at the restaurant but didn't reach our vehicle. Would recommend for 1-2 nights. They lock up at the end of the night.

Report Check-In

Good place to camp for a night. Spacious for larger vehicles. Lots of chickens. Bar and restaurant on property. Was noisy until around midnight, then peaceful. (Monday night). Dirty bathrooms. Didn’t try the cold shower. 150 L for 2 people in one truck with no electric. Right in town of Gracias. Nice folks.

Report Check-In

Stayed one night, We asked to pay 150 lempiras bc the shower wasn’t working and there was no water. Bathroom was dirty. There was a lot of space to park car + shade, and we were able to cook. Gate is closed at night.

Report Check-In

peaceful on a week-night but looks like a real party-place for weekends. I wouldn't want to be there on a Friday or Saturday night. We paid 70 L pppn, but there seemed to be some confusion whether it should be 70 or 100 lempira.

Report Check-In

Really disappointing. Music on all night (still on at 6am) with heavy base. The town seems quiet but this is where everyone comes to party.
Seems to be run by young people now, no old man but a cute kid was really excited by our camper and dog.

Report Check-In

200l per night. Ran a cord from the kitchen for electricity. They let us fill our water. Tight entrance but plenty of room inside. Good restaurant and bar. Friendly staff and locals. Big laser show and fireworks for Easter at the church near us. Bonus!

Report Check-In

Good location, chilled out spot, but overpriced! They asked for 200L/night and wouldn't negotiate for not using electricity, etc. It looks like it used to be a really nice place for camping. Pipe shower, cold water, kind of dirty. Kitchen area with sink was useful, but a little disheveled. Bar looks really nice at night. Not the most helpful staff, I think their focus is on the bar.

Report Check-In

Street under construction in front of gate. May make access tougher for anything wide. We didn’t take a chance with our truck camper. Parked on street nearby. Young family seems to be running the place. Some English spoken. Lots of shade inside yard area.

Report Check-In

Convenient location. We spent one night there, paid 150L for two people in a campervan (without hook-up).

Report Check-In

his place is only good for one night, because of the short distance to Gracias centro. even during the week loud music untill three o'clock. the restaurant is overpriced for what you get. showers could and dirty.

Report Check-In

ok, is a good place to overnight

Report Check-In

Made it through narrow gates with truck camper. Big pit on right side. Once in plenty of room to maneuver. Opted not to use electrical option since only one outlet outside of bathrooms. Within walking distance of main square. Wifi decent. Charged 150 L per night. Shower cold and dirty.

We used the coordinates posted for the entry gate. worked well. Paid 200L per night for two with power. very friendly staff. We had a large load of laundry done here too; 100L - line dried. Stayed two nights. Very close to everything in town. good Tigo reception.

Report Check-In

It is still a place to recommend.

Nice tree-shaded and convenient property to camp at. Just 3 blocks from the main central park. Guillermo, the person in charge, was very friendly. We paid 150 Lempira per vehicle per night. 200 Lempira if you need electricity. Ok restrooms and shower. Good internet at the restaurant.

Report Check-In

150L per vehicle and includes bathroom, shower, wifi, and electricity if you want it. Might be an extra charge for electricity, though. Super tranquil, lots of shade, and calm during the day/weekdays but it gets pretty loud at night on the weekends because it has a bar/restaurant. Within walking distance of the town, which is super cute.

Report Check-In

Good and cheap place to stay. The people were very friendly. (I felt embarrassed not being able to have a real conversation in spanish with them). We bargained down to 100 for camping (2 adults, minivan) as we ate and drank at the restaurant.

Report Check-In

150 l per car now. Very noisy roasters on property. Hard to sleep.

Joli parc a deux pas du centre du village, 150L super tranquille

Report Check-In

super friendly, clean, quiet. 150L per night. No longer signed, but has an owl mural on front fence. Entry is around the back, we only just fitted our truck camper through the gate

Beautiful parking lot right next to the coffee plantation on the farm of Franz of Bavaria. We were allowed to use the toilet in one of the rooms. Since the property is situated in the center it's an excellent base for a stroll. Gracias Lempira is also a very good starting point for a walk in the park Montana El Celaque (admission: 50 Lempira / person). With a high car it is only possible to drive to Via Verde, with a low car you can get up to the Visitor Center. From there a great 3-4 hour hike to the Mirador de La Cascada Santa Lucia starts.

Alternative option for small vehicles:

At the Visitor Center of the National Park Montana El Celaque.
