Description
This is a lovely spot! Very secluded and private, although still close to main road with some road noise audible. Campground is spacious and flat. Compound gated with guard present all night.
This is a hotel and restaurant as well. We ordered food+beer and had a great time under one of the small gazebos.
Originally they wanted 2500ksh for camping, but we agreed upon 1000ksh plus ordering dinner.
Right now they do not have an outside toilet for campers, but let us use The rooms looked great-- very clean and spacious. I did ask, they charge 3500ksh per night for a room (includes breakfast.)

We actually have an outside pit latrine and bathroom for campers but we prefer offering rooms for use whenever they are available/unoccupied. So actually we have both options.

Camping in the backyard of the Hotel. Staff is very friendly.
It is ok for an overnight stay, if you can use a room with western-toilet (we didn't use the shower). But we still find that the 1'000ksh pppn is too much. If the (two) rooms are booked you have to use the two squad toilets.
The night is very noisy because of the near main street.
We also hat dinner: Food was ok but waiting time was close to two hours.
Good overnight spot before or after the border crossing. However, for us not worth the 1000KES pppn. Squad toilet, dirty and no light at night. Didn’t see (and use) a shower. Be aware of the dog loudly barking when getting water at night.
