Mexico

No roadblock today. No issues observed anywhere between Ocosingo and Palenque.
Report Check-InNo road block as of today except for some locals trying to sell some stuff. We politely told them we didn’t want some and they let us go.
Very nice road compare from the one from Comitan to Tonina Ruins! Fews topes but they are smooth and well indicated.
Report Check-InNo blockades here today.. recommend checking out the group “bloqueos carreteros Chiapas” on Facebook and locals post where the road blocks are.
Report Check-InPassed without any problem on motorcycle from Palenque to San Cristobal between 9am and 2pm. Only about 50km after Palenke there were 2 women and boy with a rope. Wanted 20mex i gave 10mex.
Report Check-InNobody here today. the road was long but beautiful and safe. Lot of work site between agua azul and ocoxingo.
Report Check-InWe did Comitán to Agua Azul over Ocosinga on a Saturday and Agua Azul to Palenque on a Sunday and we had no road blocks, no ropes or anything like that (only construction sites & lots of topes). Maybe we were just lucky, but we were glad that we didn't take the detour over Villahermosa after all. Maybe the route 199 San Cristobàl to Ocosinga is dangerous, but if you do El Chiflon first which is totally worth it, you can take the route Comitán to Ocosinga instead.
Report Check-Inno blockage today, just a huge amount of road construction all along this stretch.
Report Check-InAs of today they had the road blocked about 10 minutes south of this coordinate. Spike strip on road, they wouldn't let you through unless you paid. There was a pretty big line to get through, so we just hid all our money before we rolled up. Wanted about 500 pesos, we paid 100 pesos and showed them our "empty" wallets. Nonviolent, we just had to insist it was all we had multiple times. They let us through after 2-3 minutes.
Report Check-InNo blockage today, we passed at 3:10pm. Police were at the crossroad in town patrolling
Report Check-Inthey were asking for 300 pesos to go through, manage to negotiate for 100, not violent but annoying assss, tell them you only have 50. otherwise wait until 9 pm
