Description

*Overnight camping/parking is NOT permitted in this location.
.....
Out-of-season so we parked right up on the beachfront for free. I think usually camping is in the trees further back. No facilities that we saw (we didn't look for any), but I am sure in the busy season you would get everything you need. Gorgeous beach!

Unfortunately, not possible to access this place without going inside the park. So you need to pay to go there. From the village it’s not possible anymore.

Gorgeous beach, virtually deserted out of season. Camped a little way back in tall trees but heaps of sites (one very sheltered right at back of trees). Stayed 3 nights, no demand for payment anywhere. This end is beautifully quiet, lots of people at la moza end. Sundowners and breakfast on new lifeguard platform - great view! Banos at top of the hill, ladies locked but other block open and showers and loos work, if grubby round edges. Beautiful park. Check out the bizarre collection of animals at the zoo and the botanical gardens area - nice wetland out the back. Love this spot!

The official campsite was closed and so we parked directly an the beach. It’s a stunning place and we were all alone there. Left after three days as we were running out of food. We were no asked for a receipt when we left the park.

We stayed one night out of season. When we exited the park, they asked for the receipt. So we went back to the registration point, this is near the same location ,were you also can fill your water tank and payed 360 for 2 people . The park is really beautiful!

Out of season so I drove through after passing the friendly military post at the entrance. No fee required but it'll probably change during season. Lots of camping spots to choose from with lot of firewood around. Facilities are further up the hill coming from the beach but in bad conditions. Looks like new facilities are under construction.

Great bushcamping. Playa Grande is located in Park National Santa Teresa.
lots of firewood. we camped in the trees out of the wind as it was cold. did not use any facilities. No one around when we camped but assume Jan / Feb will be different.

Report Check-In

Park is open (entrance is free), but most of the facilities are closed in the low season.. Restrooms on the main road in, just past the information area were open. We drove all through the park and this was the best spot next to the beach. Quiet overnight, no one else around
