Description

Dedicated pull-in RV park right off HWY 1 (Km 190). Paid 100 MX pesos after negotiating (130 MX pesos w/sewer). No hook-ups, but we were told there was sewer dump somewhere in the grounds. We stopped here wanting a clear desert night. "La Prieta," a light-hearted owner, prepared the meals at her restaurant "San Ignacito." Simple but welcomed the warm food (all meals under 90 pesos). Saw many americans and Mexicans stop for a quick meal before hitting the road.

We had 1 coffee and two beef burritos. All very good. We didn’t spend the night.
Chicken and roosters running around.
Some pretty cool art. Amazing what you can do with a tire.

Stopped for lunch. Lady/host was welcoming. $270 for a coffee, soup and enchiladas. Dogs and chickens plodding around outside. Seating inside and out.

200 pesos, for camping with our little trailer. We went way back and had a nice level spot. Showers were primitive but hot. Good internet in the restaurant, and we had a nice home cooked meal. Nice friendly people. Would stay here again.

400mxn for one room and 2 people. Clean and comfortable. WC and shower in the room but shower does not work and it has no sink. Water from tap outside the room. It still has a sanitary building where the shower works, but only cold and it comes from a storage on the roof. It's a hose coming out of the wall. Nice little restaurant with WiFi, but only works in the restaurant or near the building, it's not enough to get to the room. No electricity in the room, lighting is 12V from a car battery and solar panel on the roof. Many animals here from dogs to cats and chickens, nice. For one night ok, would stay here again.

The place is open, the people are very nice. They offered us to camp free with tent and bycicles, but we went for the room. The rooms were definitely overpriced, no electricity, no running water, we better didn't try out the toilet in the room. There is a shower and more toilets on the court, those were okay. We bargained down to 350. Too much for a dirty room. We didn't eat there, but the food looked good. So the better option would be to camp for free and have the food in the restaurant. Plenty of dogs, chicken, cats and a Tarantula.

Very simple but very nice place, the food is very good, I recommend paying $300.- for a room instead of paying $200.- for camping. the view is impressive to the desert, there is only wiffi in the restaurant. the place is very safe.

This place use to be a great little stop. Four years ago I stopped here and it was like stepping into someone's home, with the stove alight and toys on the ground. The food was authentic and delicious. Today I visited hoping for the same. Unfortunately, they added on to the original building and you now feel like you are at a cheap rest stop where you can buy chips and cheap coffee. The food was not nearly what I was hoping for, but it was eatable. If you need food, water, or a bathroom and have to stop this will suffice.

I wouldn’t call this an RV but more of a parking lot. We rolled in because I was sick and was wanted lots of hot water to soak in. They gave us a rustic room with maybe 6 beds in it and a nice shower with plenty of warm water. Had several meals at the restaurant. Enjoyed talking to the kids. Kind of felt like the adopted us. Very friendly, very affordable. Our room with RV parking, 4 meals, 4 sodas, a beer and 2 candy bars came to 800 pesos.

This place is still open. It is just a large yard behind the small restaurant where you park beside the old junk cars and rubbish so not exactly an RV park but plenty of space for big RVs. There are toilets which we didn't use as we are self contained, didn't see any showers. Few nice dogs still running around. The lady corrected the gentleman's price of 100mxp up to 150mxp. A little expensive for only parking but didnt try to negotiate, happy to pay as I don't expect many people stop somewhere like this. Owner and locals friendly enough although we didn't chat as much as some other comments would suggest. Good for a stop over one night, beautiful drive to get here coming from the West over to Bahia de Los Angeles.

Beautiful area in ‘Baja’s Rock Garden’ near the amazing rock formations of Cataviña! San Ignacito is a small restaurant and RV park run by La Prieta and Hector. A bit of English spoken. Very homey, darling little Chihuahuas, chickens, etc. Locals come by for home-cooked meals.

They also have lodging rooms (2, 3 & 4 beds including private bathroom/shower), very economical prices. The area is extremely quiet and tranquil. Flush toilets, basic showers, all very clean.

Although a bit rough/rustic right now, the couple is currently doing property improvements to accommodate more RV’s. We had a van so could park anywhere. 100 pesos, no hookups. Planned are large parking areas and a dump/water station.

We were able to hike on the trails in this scenic mountain area, close to the Cataviña Cave Paintings and Santa María Oasis pool.

Very nice people owning this place. RV park by the desert w/o shade, cold shower, restrooms. The sunset on the mountains and desert is beautiful. There is a restaurant opened 24h. Good place to stop on the way to Baja de Los Angeles.
