Great parking lot! | Wild Camping

The lot was very slanted. Additionally there were neighbors very close by keeping an eye out. Decided to go to Walmart nearby where staying incognito is not necessary.

Very pretty lot overlooking the harbor, fairly quiet, explicit signs saying it's ok to park overnight. Porta Potty down by dock and dumpster in parking lot that seems fine to use.

Great night's sleep on a Friday night. You overlook the lake for some great views. We walked along the path next to the lake when a local freight train came through right beside us at dusk.

This is an authorized overnight parking lot in downtown Newport, Vermont. There are two parking lots next to each other. One is for Monday Wednesday Friday and the other is for the rest of the days of the week. The area is quiet, within sight of Lake Memphremagog, and within walking distance of restaurants and other amenities. There's a lovely boardwalk along the lake and places to sit and watch birds and boats and have lunch. I came here in a van, but you could come in a larger rig as long as the lot is relatively empty.

Very easy going place! This particular lot is shared with the police station. They drove through a few times on their way to a call. Pretty views of the lake.

Upon walking around Newport in the morning, there are several of these lots with alternated parking days, all allowing overnight. The lot on Central off Main St doesn’t have time restrictions.

Please be kind and courteous to this gem of a place!
