March 2017 - the beach strip opened up again (after construction). so it's possible to drive there now!

We stayed on the beach in front of bahia club as we didn't want to go mich further to check out the other spots. Mid april so off season and quiet. Some people there in the evening but we were alone for the night. No facilities and free but probably not an option in high season.

Good spot, we park and the parking lots which are iluminated and have trash cans close by. We have a 2WD and usually don’t drive on the sand.

Some cars passed by during the night and during, but we slept perfectly.
During the day there was more cars passing by, some times fast, which worried us a bit for our little puppy.
