great FREE campground in NRG NP. glade Creek TH is here as well. dirt road in is mostly smooth and easily navigated by most vehicles. we did hear two gunshots nearby that freaked us out! unclear if it was fellow campers or someone else further down the gorge

Report Check-In

At the end of a gravel road in. Along the river. Very nice and peaceful. There were a few others in cars and more people in tents

No T-Mobile service. But I did get intermittent 1 bar at the Grandview Sandbar much closer to the road

Report Check-In

We stayed one night. When we arrived there was no site left so we just parked close to the river. Pit toilets, tables, fire pits. Trains are pretty close but that’s ok. And it’s free ! The view on the river is very nice here. 7 miles of dirt road to get here but well maintained and pretty flat so doable for any kind of rigs. The sites are ok for small to medium RVs only. We saw a sign mentioning the campground won’t be first come first served starting in 2023, it will be only with reservation.

right on the river, primitive camping, pit toilets, no water, but beautiful and quiet!

Awesome small free campground with only 5 sites for vehicles and some walk in tent sites. NO phone signal at all.

Nice place. Remember your firewood, it's a long drive out
