Good spot with shade! They don’t have any signs for bears and I think I would be hard/ unlikely to come to this area. However, still clean up your food. I heard critters in the night and had acorns falling on my roof. Places start to fill on a weekend around 6pm. Also— mysterious generator does indeed run from about 4:30 ish to 10 pm. No service. I’d stay again.
Report Check-Ingreat place for visiting the surrounding national parks. half of the campground is closed at the moment but I still could get a place around 6 at labour day weekend
Report Check-InNice free campsite with a clean pit toilet. Very hot here though in this time of the year. Also lots of wasps. Would be better to camp higher up.
Report Check-InSmall, quiet campground. I liked spot #1, it's paved, flat and shaded. There is a vault toilet and a fire ring & picnic table at each site. Convenient for visiting King's Canyon. No service on TMobile or Verizon.
Report Check-InReally great location, 30mn drive to the end of the road. Spot #5 is really nice. Cleanest pit toilet ever. Gorgeous being surrounded by the mountains. Blackberry bushes around (delicious in your breakfast pancakes!). Only downside is the mysterious generator running all day until 10pm.
Report Check-InVery nice FREE campground with pit toilet. Great great view surrounding by the mountains. Really enjoying staying here for the night.. maybe 2 ;) no internet at all
Report Check-InSite #5. Official dispersed camping in National Forest. Flat. Private.
Report Check-InNice little spot with a few sites, firepits and picnic tables. I rarely check the official campgrounds because they usually cost something but this one was absolutely free. Quiet night, no one else was there. We had the whole place to ourselves
Report Check-InNice spot for overnight. Official 5 spots with tables and fire pits, but there is a lot of space available. When we stayed, there were about 8 more vans.
Report Check-InHello
Yes, perfect place to park your motorhome for the night
It's nice, quiet, you have one restroom, a table, a fire place...and it's free....What else!
As described, in a narrow but nice valley. No warnings regarding bears, not sure why. Clean pit toilet, fire pits and benches but no other facilities. Free.
Report Check-InPerfect location within the Canyon. Firepits and Pittoilets. We stayed here with four other campers. Very quiet during the night. And the best, it's for free!
Report Check-InAs described. Campground in Sequoia National Forest. We arrived ~3pm on a Friday and got the last spot. Nice views and free!
