Description

Parking Marina. Picnic tables, nice view, quiet and safe. Spent one night here. One of the best spots we ever slept. Quiet. Benches, picnic tables, trash cans. Beautiful. no signs prohibiting overnight parking. Staff definitely noticed us because as soon as we got out at 7 a.m. to walk our dog she immediately came out and asked if we need a doggy bag. we have our own, and thanked her for the offer. we took our cue to move along and drove 1/4 mile down the road to Barcelona Harbor Beach to enjoy our coffee stress-free before heading back on the road.

Awesome place. There is highway and train noise but not bad. Quiet all night. Parked in car spots with our van.

Report Check-In

super endroit pour passer la nuit. Immense stationnement directe sur le lac Erié.

Report Check-In

Nice place on the lake, had a nice beach. Park down below. Seems to be the town hang out for the kids on Friday night’s. If you want more peace and quiet avoid the weekend and park more by the office then the water. Beside that worth the stop. Tent camping is possible on the beach.

A beautiful little place to sleep at, very enjoyable for the view and very very quiet at night, very safe as well, there is security that drives around at night, not sure until what time but they aren’t there to quick you out, only to keep the place safe! We slept here a Friday night and by 6 am the parking was filled with trucks hauling their boats, If you have a big rig and park in the trailer parkings be sure to be gone early to give space for the boaters!

Report Check-In

We got here a little after noon on Friday and stayed all day with no problems. Almost made it through the night, but got a knock at our door around 7:30 and were asked to leave along with the other van parked near us. Still would say it's worth the free stay, but if you decide to stay overnight just make sure you're out early in the morning.

Report Check-In

great spot, vans and RVs welcome! we arrived just after midnight and picked a spot in the middle of the lot. got a knock at 7am by an employee. the spot we parked in was for boats only and asked that we move to a spot along the lot's perimeter. she welcomed us to use the bathrooms on the outside of the building (porta potty available after hours) and coffee inside her office on the west side of the building. she also encouraged a donation at the same time (a can labelled coffee fund). so 100%, RV parking is permitted here!

Report Check-In

Timing is everything…we had to move @ 23:30 due to drunk teenagers on a Tuesday night. The yelling/fighting started around 22:00 then a new louder batch showed up. We moved to the beach access alley off of N Portage Rd behind Westfield Fisheries and had a quiet night. This place is beautiful and we had a nice swim earlier. Obviously not the norm, but there are alternatives if the locals get restless

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot!! So safe, tons of van lifers. Could fit big rigs too. No hook ups or bathroom. Cute gas station around the corner. Little beach with waterfalls!! Parked on the beach part. There is a large parking lot. State trooper came on day two of our stay and hung out for 2 hours. But no issues, just patrolling. Loved my stay here and the area. Locals are nice and welcoming too! Watch your speed in the area - per a local! Three of my friends in their cars all parked here with me too.

Report Check-In

Not a bad place for a night. People in and out but it’s pretty quiet. No bathrooms water nothing when we stayed. Got a little louder in the morning.

Report Check-In

Nice spot for one night, good views and was quiet with a few other vans and rigs parked overnight.

Report Check-In

This spot is legit. Boaters coming and going early and late but other than that quiet and safe. Good cell service.

Report Check-In

I was hesitant at first, but they get a lot of people that stay overnight. I’m not sure if I was the only one this night as I fell asleep early but people were arriving at 5am to fish. A couple of police drove by but no one bothered me all night.

Report Check-In

great night's sleep. beautiful beach and lake views/access. stayed 2nights with no issues. will definitely return.

Report Check-In

Been there on a friday night, a lot of teenagers partying on beach and pier. Noisy until 11pm but after very quiet, slept under strong winds and waves sounds! We were 3 overlanders that night. Nice spot.

Report Check-In

I absolutely love this location.
Both the sunset and sunrise were amazingly beautiful. Short walk to the shore. Public restrooms open as early as 6am- a portopotty available as well. Really wishing we had a kayak.
Overnight here was quiet and safe- a couple other vans and a bus parked overnight as well. Great cell reception. Highly recommended spot.

Report Check-In

Perfect and quiet place to spend the night
Arrived at 11pm, another RV was already parked
There were some cars which loud music but did not bothered us

Report Check-In

Bathroom and wi-fi still closed in late April. We decided to move on to another spot as there was still 2 hours of sun left and we didn't want to have to pee in front of the half dozen fishermen as there is absolutely zero privacy.

Report Check-In

Great spot to park for the night. We arrived at 11pm and woke at left around 7.30am. There were a few pick up trucks when we got there but they were all gone by morning. Parked next to the building and one extension cord reached the plug, which was a huge bonus - we could plug our heater all night! Woke up to a beautiful sun rising over the frozen lake. A great spot.

Report Check-In

Spent one night here. Quiet place and really well lit with a nice view of the lake. Few cars pulling in and out until about midnight but no trouble. Facilities (e.g. bathroom) closed during winter season. Overall great place and highly recommend to anyone passing through the area.

Report Check-In

On the water, well-lit, so close to highway but quiet, really fast wifi and the whole place to ourselves! We were happy to wake up to a van parked near us. Some cars came in an out in the evening but gave us space. No signs saying we couldn't park overnight. We loved it!

Report Check-In

perfect quite at night, trains loud till 11pm and starts from 7am, sometimes cars, but nothing special and the best free fast wifi

Report Check-In

Stayed here in my van and there was a camper and a car in the lot. Arrived around 11p quiet and the sound of the storm/water was very peaceful. Left around 6 am and still very quiet. Light car noises driving around in early am, otherwise overall felt safe.

Report Check-In

Stayed here last night in our van. One other van here, also a couple who were car camping. Nice quiet night, but a little wind off Lake Erie but that’s to be expected. Definitely recommend this spot.

Report Check-In

fantastic parking lot with bathroom (open all night when I was here) and a porta pottie. there's a beach with some cliffs and waterfalls and probably about 30 parking spots. was 4 other vans here for the night.

Report Check-In

Fantastic! I parked right on the corner by the water for two nights. No hassles at all. Ate breakfast at the Westfield Diner. This is overlanding at its best!

Report Check-In

Great place, quiet, a few electrical outlets to plug in and charge, there’s restrooms but only open certain hours, for after hours there’s a porta potty. Beautiful surroundings. If you make a short 2 min drive you’ll find Jack Barcelona drive inn.. 8249 1st St
Westfield, NY 14787. Great breakfast or lunch With local wine, beer and great conversation. You’ll find plenty of Seaglass down on the beaches as well in this area.

Report Check-In

Loved waking up to this view in the morning. Pretty quiet. Could here some road noise but it was minimal.

Report Check-In

Very pretty spot. Lots of fisherman coming off the water an hour before sunset. Teens kinda loud til midnight but peaceful after. Beautiful sunrise too. Good AT&T reception. Easy off/on highway 90.

Report Check-In

Pretty place to spend the night. Some loud cars coming through late but nothing bad. Portopotty was pretty clean

Report Check-In

This place is idyllic. Unfortunately, in our case that changed after the sun went down. Cars and loud music first - then fireworks until 2am. Also, people fishing at all hours of the night...
Maybe because it was a Saturday night... Maybe because it is near independence day...
Rough night to say the least. Advice: park farther from the end of the pier, away from the tables and away from the lights.

Schöner Platz mit genügend Parkplätzen. Baden kann man auch im See.

Report Check-In

Totally beautiful, quiet spot. We parked overnight and used the outdoor plugs to charge our battery and had zero issues. There’s a lovely, quiet beach and couldn’t be nicer. We are working here today and using the plugs for power right next to the water, it’s wonderful

Report Check-In

Quiet place with a beautiful view. Highly recommend walking the beach and skipping a few stones. No trouble overnight and a police car rolls through every so often

Report Check-In

This place is great! Quiet and a clean potti. We killed our inverter last night in the middle of cooking dinner 😫 but the lil building here has an outlet so that saved our dinner and allowed us to grind our coffee this morning.

Report Check-In

I had gone to Lake Erie State Park, but they were full. Thank goodness they were! This spot has public bathrooms and is literally right on the water. I had the back of my van face the East so I could see the sunrise in the morning. Relatively quiet. And a little beach to walk on in the morning! Best place to stay if you’re in the area

Report Check-In

Car camped here one night, beautiful but some what noisy. No one there when I arrived around midnight, about an hour later several cars drove down then left. porta potty, staff get there early.

Report Check-In

Gorgeous little spot right on the water. We first got BBQ from When Pigs Fly BBQ Pit and then drove over here. We actually could have stayed near the bbq joint but this area is a bit more open and clean. We met some folks walking on the wbach who were super nice and said we would be perfectly safe and unbothered here. They were right! We even saw the water sheriff pass by via boat a few times and they didn’t stop throughout the night. Gorgeous place for a a stopover. We didn’t find any free WiFi but with these views, you don’t need it.

Report Check-In

No signs forbidding overnight parking. I went to the dirt lot near the beach. Quiet, flat and was not bothered all night. Grocery store Tops is 5 minute drive south.

Report Check-In

This was our second time staying at this site. Nice spot. Parked in the gravel lot by the beach. The first time, we didn’t have any trouble, and in the morning the manager of the marina even told me where to get water from a spigot inside. Last night, no trouble again...but in the morning we learned that they are filming Quiet Place 2 here, and that we’d been in the way overnight. Not sure when filming ends.

Report Check-In

Edit to previous post re: movie filming. When we were leaving parking lot, we saw a sign saying that the pier and the beach will be closed Sept 3-7, 2019.

Report Check-In

Arrived late, few people fishing. By 11:45pm the lot was completely empty except for me. Police car showed up at midnight and parked up on the hill. I prob being there. Quiet except for highway noise in distant background.
Thanks for this gem!

Report Check-In

Very quiet place, beautiful views, wifi and portapotty available. We parked in the gravel lot and slept great. Perfect location. Please keep a low profile and leave no trace so this place doesn't get shut down.

magnifique endroit pour une nuit tranquille.

Report Check-In

perfect location and a nice view, a bit windy but super calm.

Report Check-In

Good spot. Nice view, quiet and safe. train is a little noisy but it's ok. Toilet when it's open. Water and Wi-Fi all time.

Bon spot. Belle vue, calme et sécure. Le train est un peu bruyant mais ça va encore. Toilettes quand c'est ouvert. Eau et Wifi tout le temps. Tables de pic nic.

Report Check-In

Nice safe waterfront spot. Washrooms open dying the day, locked at night but there is a portopotty. Beautiful view. A bit loud at night with them but trains passing by and tooting their horns every half hour through the night it seems.

Police briefly drove by, shined their light at my car, and kept on driving. A few other RVs were in the lot. Gets busy on weekend mornings when the fishermen drive in with their boats to launch them. People start coming in around 5 am before sunrise.

A much quieter alternative would be at 42.133565, -79.347611 a rest area near Jamestown about 20 minutes away
