From the Cono de Arita, this track leads you directly to the Casualidad mine avoiding a detour. You have to ask for permission to cross the gold mine that will escort you on the other side of the mine. Practical 4WD track. This point is at the end of the mine. The entrance to the mine is visible from the Cono de Arita, only building in the vicinity. In case of emergency the mine has water, sanitary and doctors.

We took this road, didn't need our 4x4, but it is a bad road with in some places very sharp rocks. The scenery is beautiful, but it took us 3 hours to do the 40 km. We were very happy with the asphalt the last 25 km to Mina Casualidad.
Report Check-InWe choose around this marker to sleep. Next to road, but nobody drives here. And beautiful view on the cono. Better then up close in my opinion.
Report Check-InWe took this road with our Toyota 4Runner 2wd (but high clearance and very good tyres, which are very necessary). We had to ask to cross the gold mine, they friendly agreed to escort us for 2km.
The road is almost not taken, we met no one.
