Panama
This a small hostel run by a local couple - Julia and Carlos. They have a beautifully maintained front yard garden which they keep open for camping for Campervans. The lady is lovely and makes delicious food. (We had chicken fried rice and we were blown away) The internet is fast, there are clean bathrooms and toilets to use. They have power outlets but we didn’t ask if they were extra. It's $10 per night per vehicle. After struggling to find a place to camp in the town of Santa Catalina, we accidentally stumbled here and had a lovely time. Our dog loved playing in the gardens.

Stayed here 2 nights while diving. Sylvia & Carlos very welcoming and helpful. We have a large overland truck and we fit in their front yard which is the place they have for camping. We brushed some branches on the way in but they said they would cut them for the next person. $20/ night but we ran our AC. Toilet functional, not fancy. We didn't use the shower. We got some water but the pressure was really low so we didn't fill the tank. It is potable. There is a restaurant in that Sylvia will cook for you but we ate our own food. Used the clothes line to dry our dive stuff. They were very kind to look after it because we'd left some on the porch and they picked it up for us so the dogs wouldn't chew it to pieces. Easy walk to town from here. The diving was just OK. We couldn't see any reason to stay beyond that as it is off season and uncomfortably hot.
Report Check-InStayed here as the other options in Santa Catalina were quite noisy for us. Friendly guy, nice garden. Pretty quiet even though next to the road. Reasonably priced, still charged us $10 inc hookup. Hose at the back to easily fill water containers. There is a washing machine too but we didn’t ask to use it.
