Description

***NOTE: We saw two vans here getting ticketed, stay at your own risk***

Large gravel parking lot north of Santa Fe. We stayed here several nights over the course of 2 weeks and it was always quiet. Be respectful and don't take advantage of this spot by turning it into a campground. There is room for all sized rigs.

Latest Check-Ins

Unfortunately it‘s not allowed anymore. We slept here yesterday and got a warning note from the Santa Fe Police on our windshield (camping is not allowed). All other cars got the same „parking violation ticket“. We‘ve talked to the officer and he said it‘s just a warning, but the neighbors seemed to complain about overnight camping and he needed to take action.

Report Check-In

Had a really peaceful night with 2 other vans, but at 9am a patrol car pulled in, slowly drove by us but not bothering us (maybe because we were awake? Or because we’re Canadian?). It drove up to the other vans, parked very close for a long while before getting out and knocking. Upon not getting an answer, he proceeded leaving what presumably are printed out tickets on the windshields. We decided to take off before having to interact with him. So don’t know if I’d recommend this place, they do seem to care sometimes - and today was Easter Sunday even!

Report Check-In

Quiet gravel lot. Stayed two nights. The weekend night it was very empty and quiet. Weekday morning I was woken to people and buses coming in (it is a park and ride!) but still no issue! Definitely need to stealth camp as there are “no camping” signs up.

Report Check-In

Just me and two other vehicles (1 schoolie, 1 van, 1 truck) Full Verizon bars. Didn’t get bothered. Some cars pulled in around 6am for the park and ride. Great spot!

Report Check-In

Stayed here two nights. Good location exactly as described by previous reviews.

Report Check-In

Stayed here 2 nights. Good spot as it's spacious and used by lots of trucks/vans. Parked at the back end of the lot so as not to be disturbed by traffic in the AM when folks actually use it as a park and ride lot.

Report Check-In

Large gravel lot in a great location with strong Verizon for working. The Sheriff rolled through at about 11pm, but just shined a flashlight on each of the 5 RVs/vans parked with us. No knocks. Keep it clean and be respectful, y'all! Enjoy Santa Fe!

Report Check-In

Awesome awesome spot. Super quiet, feels super safe with other vans and RVs surrounding you too. I was incredibly impressed by this place.

Report Check-In

Spacious gravel lot, with a great view AND great walking trails accessible from the lot! We stayed three nights (fri, sat, sun) and had the lot to ourselves until monday morning! It was quiet. No amenities, but we are traveling in a van, so it was perfect for us and our dog! Super close to Historic Downtown Santa Fe! Quick drive to Trader Joe’s, gas stations, etc!

Report Check-In

Stayed here two nights. Pretty quite. Good cell service. Trail on the back side that’s nice for dogs. Several other vans overnight

Report Check-In

Quiet, large parking lot. Parked under a street light and felt perfectly safe. There it's a nature area with trails behind the lot and the lot is kind of up a hill, tucked out of the way. Nice spot for an overnight.

Report Check-In

Great spot, nice and quiet. No issues in truck/travel trailer

Report Check-In

Class B van stayed the night no problem. 1 or 2 other vehicles also stayed. Very quiet up the hill location. In the morning many cars came in to park and ride. Highly recommend.

Report Check-In

Spent new year's eve here. We were the only ones in the parking lot during the night. It was very quiet with the exception of a truck running all night in the distance. There's a trail head to a very nice hiking trail in the back of the parking lot, perfect for a morning walk with your dog!

Report Check-In

ok for one night. kinda an awkward vibe in this giant empty lot. any size rig could fit here. could here coyotes at night.

Report Check-In

Stayed here for a night w no issues! just us and one random truck that pulled up late (which would’ve maybe made me move if I was a solo female bc it is tucked out of the way.) Cars start coming in 7/8am

Report Check-In

Nice lot. Some cars on weekdays but didnt see any on weekend. Highly suggest not boon-docking in this city as the law wants.
