Chile
Large flat area between park and sea. Used by locals to watch sunset and practice driving. Access opposite Garcia Lorca. Far enough from the road to not be heard over the surf. Quiet at night. Short walk to Balneario and McD's for WiFi.

large dirt car park on the edge of the Pacific. we spent a Saturday evening there with lots of people and traffic, quite noisy. It remains a good solution for free parking if you want to stay close to the city center.
grand parking en terre au bord du pacifique. nous y avons passé un samedi soir beaucoup de monde et de trafic, assez bruyant. ça reste une bonne solution pour stationner gratuitement si vous voulez rester proche du centre ville.
Report Check-InBasically exactly as everyone said, locals come to party here at night so it isn't the quietest, but it will do in a pinch. We would recommend going out to the peninsula if you are looking for a quiet/pretty evening!
Report Check-InWe felt safe here, it seems like a good spot for one night. We did get unlucky with some noisy people playing music next to us until 3am (on a Monday)… so that’s definitely a possibility not just on the weekends! The sea is also very very loud - not a problem for us, but to consider if you’re a light sleeper :)
Report Check-InSpent several nights here. Lot of people especially on Friday nights but if you park you’re car in direction to the sea you mainly hear the sea. We felt very safe…but a local warned us that some man are just coming to the gym/playground because of the kids…we don’t know if this is true. Everyone who was there seems to be focused on doing their sports or meeting friends. But you never know. So don’t let your kids play alone or without watching.
Report Check-InPretty spot, but people like to gather here and be loud even during the week. Thankfully they quiet up or leave around midnight so the only sound is the ocean. Felt very safe. It’s very dark here, which is also nice for sleeping.
Also: it’s called Parque CROACIA. In case you want to find it on Google maps…
Report Check-InWe stayed here a second night (Friday) and it was very loud, lot of people made music in their Cars (and sex) next to us 😎
Report Check-InGood spot for day or night. Was like Said before: lively in daytime quiet at night. We felt save.
Report Check-InGreat place to stay the night! During the day it is lively, yet a relaxed spot. In the evenings or weekends, the place livens up a little more with sunset watchers and park wanderers. There is a food truck strip, beach access, etc. not sure the food truck hours.
Report Check-InPublic bathrooms in the round building North of the rugby pitch. Open at 9:30 on Saturdays, 12:00 on Sundays and 13:30 during the week. Close around 21:00.
Report Check-InWe stayed twice there, first time was awful : people came close to the van to party really loud, carabineros came but did nothing.
Second time was better, we were several motorhomes and vans.
Nice view to the sea but no facilities. Good 4g with Entel.
The place is again accessible from both sides. We stayed 2 nights, Sunday evening was packed with cars, loud music. Some good restaurants nearby. Be aware, the cormorans use the lampposts as toilet seats.
Report Check-InNorthern entrance is closed off at the moment so need to use southern entrance. Two police patrols turned up so we asked them if it was OK to spend the night and were told it was OK. The area is separated from the coast road by the park so road noise is zero and in any case completely drowned out by the waves.
Just don't park or walk within 5 metres of the light poles!!!
