Great hospitality from Deon, wonderful gesture to offer free space to cyclists and hikers. He's even happy to think along when guests are looking for a car repair or a short-term rental in town :)

The sites have grass (sprinklers run regularly to keep it green), ablutions are comfortable and wifi is good. If you like the farm life (you might even get a chance to go on a little tour through the fields), this is a great stop! Be aware that during weekdays there will be some noise from the tractors/trailers driving in and out, in the future Deon plans to move those operations outside for more peace on the property.

Spent 3 nights here on grassy site. Lots to do in area, Doringbaai , Strandfontein, Olifants River Mouth, winetasting etc. Very close to Vredendal where you can get everything and more. Good laundry (drop off or self service).
Deon took us on a drive around the farm which was very interesting. A simply nice guy!

This is one of the most wonderful places I've stayed at. The grass stands, and you can visit the animals; plus, you can also take short hikes. Deon's hospitality is absolutely amazing. He offered free BBQ (Braai) wood. When I had a problem with my door, he also helped me with tools to fix it. This is a must-stop if you visit Vredendal.

Enjoyed my stay here, and as mentioned earlier Deon offers his farm for free to cyclists (he's a bikepacker himself, and is also on warmshowers). A short 1.6km to the mall.

What a treat to stay with Deon and his lovely family! Will always remember him and his lovely son - so kind and heartwarming surroundings. The whole area is so calm and beautiful. At certain times, the goats are allowed out of the barn and then run around freely - so cute to watch. Best Wifi even on the sites - very fast! Don’t miss it!

It was a real pleasure to stay at Deon’s farm. We got a great tour around the farm in the afternoon. You see that he is enjoying the people that are staying on the campsite.

The spots are green and with electricity. 300RAND for 2 people per night.

It’s really worth it to visit him. And his dogs, kats, kids, bokkies and roosters!

We were warmly welcomed by Deon. We have enough shade. Bathrooms clean. So peaceful on the farm.

Owner Deon loves to welcome overlanders on his farm. He’s the perfect host and will take you around the farm if you’re interested. We intended to stay 1 night, but stayed 5! Good wifi and nice hot showers. Make sure you visit Lemon Tree for lunch (500 m walking), they have delicious affordable food.

Friendly and helpfull owner. Conveniently near the town of Vredendal and a good overnight spot. Ablution good. A bit near a busy road. Stands are a bit sandy and unprotected with no privacy.

Lovely farmstay. The owner extended the campground to accommodate 10 vehicles. Beautiful ablutions, free wood, semi grassy sites. We had free sweet potatoes from Deon that we roasted in the fire. It was delicious!!. A must stay in Vredendal.

Lovely little spot to camp with super helpful staff and some friendly cats. There is a road nearby but this quietens down overnight. A large firepit is provided along with free firewood. We loved our night here.

Level stand with a protected under roof area right next to the stand. Ablutions are close, functional and clean. Excellent location, only 3km out of Vredendal. Owner very friendly, helpfull and accomodating. It is a working farm producing grapes, raisins, vegetables and more. We enjoyed our 3 day stay

The initial posting for this place was done by the owner - but all is accurately described: neatly arranged place, all well organised and functioning, friendly welcome and at R100 pp/n it is attractively priced.
Space is basically for only one vehicle or two if they travel together; one room for toilette/shower
Watch out: coming from the south, the entrance gate is about 150 meters before the iO point and somewhat hidden in the trees/bushes.
