Zambia
We came here on a recommendation for 2 nights, a stunning spot on the lake. There are rooms available and also camping for 75 Zk pppn. There is a restaurant and bar and they will bring you a braai and charcoal if you want it. The owners and staff are very helpful and friendly. The road here is 4 km of gravel and bits of sand with beautiful baobabs. Great spot to relax for a bit. There is wifi available- we have not tried it yet.

Went to have a look to stay. Not great. We were directed to the camping area…it had litter strewn everywhere with goats rummaging through it and goat poop everywhere. The ablutions are very run down. It’s a pity because the location is great. We didn’t stay we moved on.
Report Check-InBeautiful spot with restaurant and cold beer, managed by a german, camping 100.- Kwacha ppn
Report Check-InBeautiful spot on the lake but the place/ablutions can have an update(don't expect much.) We where with a group and ordered a buffet for dinner, recommend! Payed 80Kw pppn.
Report Check-InVery nice place to stay. The owner and his staff are extremely accommodating, very friendly and very helpful. The food in the restaurant tastes excellent.
This place is highly recommended.
Nice spot on Kariba dam. On the weekends it can draw big groups for picnics so it can be a bit noisy. Ablutions near the campsite are about a 2/10 but the owner gave us a key to use the bathroom facilities in one of the chalets which were much better. We paid 75 kwacha pppn.
Report Check-InWe are staying for two night, it is a gem next to the lake. facilities is very good and the poeple are so helpfull and frendly. This place should be on everyones list to visit.
Report Check-InWhether you need a 4wheel drive depends on the rains. When it’s dry and you drive careful you can manage with 2WD. Very friendly staff that did everything to make our stay comfortable, including providing a bathroom in a house and storing our stuff (without us asking) when we were away. Recommendable.
Report Check-InNice place, with a Sandy Beach, unlike other places in Siavonga (except Eagle's Rest.)
Good place to go for a day trip from Siavonga.
Need a 4 wheel drive.
Nice place at the lake shore. Big grassy field with big trees. Camped next to the last room and used toilet, shower and electricity from there. Everything was working and staff very friendly.
Waterlevel was very high, all palms have been under water.
75Kw per person for camping
Nice lake view but although camping is allowed, I can't really call this a campsite. There is a lot of space to pitch a tent and you can park quite shady under a big tree (right next to the beach volleyball net) but there are no camping facilities to speak of. There is 1 power outlet but that didn't work (though as an alternative they did provide a very long extension cord), and the ablutions are very bad. The men's toilets are okay but the showers are broken and unusable. I got a room for ablutions which was nice... until they gave the room to someone else without notifying me. Braaistands are available but cost 20 ZKW. No open bandas or similar constructions. The swimming pool was very dirty and filled directly from the lake (including potentially bilharzia). Bar/restaurant looked okay with reasonable prices but I haven't used it.
Staff is very friendly. Cows (with annoying bells), goats, chickens and dogs roam the site. When arriving you think you entered a farm. During weekends it can become very crowded. I haven't tried the wifi. Camping 75 ZKW pppn.
Nice spot on the lake, however run down facilities, unwelcoming entrance as you drive in. Wifi is a decent speed. Restaurant overlooks the lake and serves okay food. Nice, friendly staff. Camping at 150kw pppn is really overpriced.
