safe, busy, noisy place, facing the sea, we paid 9 reais for 12 hours. we stayed 2 nights

Muito bom, paguei 9 reais para 12 horas. O ideal é estacionar na lateral esquerda. O morador indicou pagar 12 horas para não ter problema com fiscalização caso o RV seja muito grande.

Very limited where you can overnight in Salvador. Agree with other post re noise from road but use earplugs and it ok. Was a parking guy who asked for 10r. In mornings but he disappeared at noon. He had a book of timed parking vouchers. Felt safe, lots of amenities around and taxi to Pelourinho 25r.

we arrived 2 weks after carnaval and this car park was still closed with staging/scaffolding from the event. a few hundre metre along the beach road away from town is another car park with friendly coconut vendors and plenty police around. a noisy but safe night-stop. easy place to get buses or taxis into town. there were plenty of porta-loo cabins around but I think they were a carnaval left-over. it probably normally has no facilities. free.
