Description

Several spots tucked into the woods along Exit Glacier Road. Free camping for up to 8 days. Some of the spots have been blocked by large rocks but a few good spots. One spot appears to be blocked by a boulder but actually is not and you can get out to the river area and camp right on the river instead of in the woods. A few miles up the road is Exit Glacier within Kenai Fjords National Park. Cell service works pretty good. Only a few minutes to get into Seward.

Beautiful open place with a lot of room . There is 2 big holders that appear to be blocking the road , but if you just go to right of them you can drive down into a rock/ gravel road .
I have a 32 ft RV that was able to drive right up to the river/creek.
Love hearing the sound of the water .
Surrounded by mountains on all sides of the campsite . Can see a few waterfalls as well . Best part it’s free .

Very nice spot! You can enter by the river (the entrance has 2 rocks, but you can easily get in). Plenty of space, no facilities.

Multiple spots along the road to pull into. Secluded from most people with minimal road traffic. Good spot for truck or tent camping.

Tucked into a spot along the left side when heading into Exit glacier. Heaps of spots for tent camping, car camping and even bondooking. Rained a lot but free and beautiful. Had LTE with 1 bar (Verizon)

Pulled into one of these spots last night and slept in my car. Road noise is minimal, as not many people drive down that road at night. However, my spot was only about 20 yards from the road. So you will hear cars that drive by. Great place for a night or two.

Not a favorite spot, but usable for a night. Seems like it gets crowded quick.

Pasamos dos noches aquí junto a un numeroso grupo de viajeros. Muy tranquilo, mucha leña en el lugar para hacer fogatas. Excelente

2 miles in, pull off to the right,go right again. Backed in to the river. Beautiful site. There are a handful of sites in this area some are better than others.

Great location if it’s available. There were 3 chairs near a fire pit near the river if you follow the trail down away from the road. Camping is free and there is a sign about the site being in a special use are.

we stayed in the river bed 4 nights while on Seward. there were quote a few others but enough space everyone can spread out. only one night did some kids come camp too close with their loud music and we just moved another 100 yards away.

Awesome, amazing location just minutes from Seward! Lots of little pull outs of many shapes and sizes. Super private. We saw lots of RVs too so most sites should be able to accommodate larger vehicles. If you're in a passenger car, you'll have no problem.

So Nice. 4wd can be usefull but it's possible without. Some people already but so much space. Very wild :)
