what a very nice place to stay. a few miles up a dirt road. camp host. 10 suggested fee per night. clean vault toilet with tp. extremely well taken care of. quite and peaceful. some off road campers here but not noisy in camp. safe and nice. remote which I like.
Report Check-InFS Campground with lots of sites. Only a few rigs here on a Saturday in early June. There are OHV trails here so expect some use. Free but asking for a donation. Can still have a campfire here since it's a designated campsite with a fire ring even with the ban in the rest of the forest. Have usable Verizon LTE but it's only a bar or two. Cool camp host. Yours to enjoy protect and keep clean 🌲
Report Check-InSays closed for season, but no gates. We are the only ones here. Restrooms closed though.
Report Check-InNot technically free as a $10 donation per night is requested. There are many atv trails in this area and I heard from the host that large loud groups are common on weekends. A group that partied well into the night were escorted out by the sheriffs office a few weeks back, however. Last night was relatively quiet, although my neighbor has bright lights and talking well past midnight. Didn’t fill up on Friday night until about 7 pm.
Report Check-Instill free. still good and not busy even on high season. plenty of room. i had a fire going too and noone bothered. ENTER FROM THE SOUTH ENTRANCE (on highway 395) if you are on a big rig, van or afraid of sand with your big motorcycle.
Report Check-InGreat free campground with lots of spots, fire pits, picnic tables and pit toilets. Had the place to ourselves, except for the crazy amount of bees.
