Description
Basically a parking lot with thin strip of grass on the river next to boatyard. Bathrooms in a shipping container are cramped but clean. Busy but looked like better option than city camping down the road. Convenient base to explore the city

This is wrong place and the camping is closed in thise address. However there is one very good camping ground just some 200m from there closer to the city center.
Report Check-InNice Place on the WESTern side of the island. We came here with a tent and two motorcycles and were allowed to park directly by the tent, next to the river.
Friendly personnel and clean toilets, supermarket about 15-20 min walk.

Report Check-InCampground in the center of Riga. It was more like a construction side or big grassy parking lot and the showers/toilets are in containers. It is not true that it is possible to have a view on the old town of Riga and the woman at the reception wasn't very friendly. The other camping closeby looks very similar...
Report Check-InStellplatz direkt am Fluß mit schönem Blick auf das Zentrum von Riga. Idealer Ausgangspunkt für die Erkundung der Stadt, wenn man ein Fahrrad zur Hand hat. Nice place at the river and a beautiful view over the river of the center from Riga. Very good place, for starting with a bike into the city.
Report Check-InAs described, a parking lot. But: as we are the only ones here it's quite nice! Shower and toilets in containers, they have washer and dryer, too. Good wifi.

Perfect place if you want to sleep in your / on your car in Riga. Some noise from the harbor, but also nice views over the city and water. It is indeed a parking lot in a industrial area of the city. But no industry, mostly just storage and car-shops.
We paid 16 euro's for 2 people and a car with rooftoptent.
It's possible to walk to the city, it's some 3 kilometers. There are only a handful of busses driving towards the campside.
