Very nice and clean ablutions! Good food and wine. Nice pool and Spa with riverview. Close to the main entrance Majete Wildlife reserve
Report Check-InVery nice place to stay with magnificent views over the river Shire. Very clean, cosy bar and restaurant. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were excellent.Friendly staff
Report Check-InBeautiful lodge which offers a campsite, dormitory and a chalet (price in picture). There is a swimming pool and a restaurant. The food is good! Close to the park (5 minutes by car). They also organise game drive.
Report Check-InFabulous place. Sarah is a very friendly and helpful owner but all the staff are wonderful. Campers are welcomed to use all the lodge facilities - restaurant, pool, spa - we didn’t want to leave! Highly recommend
Report Check-InLovely place to relax. Very nice infinity pool and restaurant serves good food on reasonable prices. Campsite is still a bit “work in progress”, but ablutions are very nice and clean. Camping was still 10.000mkw//pppn. Friendly staff. Would go back.
Report Check-InBeautiful welcome by Lucky at this lovely lodge. We emailed in advance and she arranged for our invitation letter for our evisa. Great pool and river view from the lounge, with cool breezes. We had a issue with our truck and Lucky used her network to help us with finding parts and a mechanic to help.Problem solved! Camping is $10 a person, very close to Majete. No potable water though, come full.
Report Check-InWhat engulfed me first was the friendliness of the staff at arrival. First place since long time I was greeted with a welcome drink.
The campsite is located in the bush above the dormitories which share the spotless ablutions.
No view from the campsite directly but campers are very welcome at the lodge area with an infinity pool facing Shire River. Small little decorations show an arty hand.
Sarah, the Canadian owner is still working on the campsite to make it bigger and more cosy. Campsite has got brai-stands and a free fire is lit there whenever you want it. A communal fireplace is at the campsite as well as at the lodge.
A watertap with dishwash basin is still to be built.
Showers are solar heated, but when there is not enough sun, staff is providing a bucket with hot water.
The water from the taps is not drinkable, as it is slighly salty.
The lodge is solar powered, no Escom Power yet, devices can be charged at the lodge.
Excellent Airtel signal with 4G.
10000 Kwatcha per person per night.
Glamour camping (5 stars). Lodge was opened in June 2022. Great atmosphere due to spacious restaurant/bar area and pool with view on river Shire and due to staff which is very much engaged to let you have a good stay. All modern and spotless clean. We saw that the pool was very thouroughfully cleaned and treated with chlorine. We camped with our big rig (height 3.5m) for K 10,000 per person per night and had filet steak for dinner which was good. They also have dormitories and chalets. www.zuasafari.com
