Latest Check-Ins

this place is unfortunately closed which is a pity

Report Check-In

closed until further notice. stop spare yourself the muddy road to the gate and go somewhere else

Report Check-In

nice place, security guards at night, friendly staff, iron-smell water. still 100 Pula ppn. lots of moscitoes and insects, filling the ablutions (no door and light on).

Report Check-In

Nice place near the river when it is raining season
You can see hippo and crocodile from the camp
Thé restaurant had à very long service, too long

Report Check-In

A quiet rest camp, this spot is a bit out of town, but has everything one needs: wide open spaces with big, sandy sites, nice communal area to cook and use their gas, outside patio seating area and they have security guards patrolling the camp at night to keep everyone and everything safe. Don't leave possessions unattended anyway. The lights around the perimeter are for security and for campers own safety! All round good service and a happy stay! P80 pppn, children under 5 free. P35 for electricity per day.

Report Check-In

we stayed 2 nights and payed 390 Pula for 2 persons plus campsite ( we had no. 7) inclusive electricity. i love the open air showers.

Report Check-In

It is quite a nice camp, as described, but please be careful as we got a handbag stolen out of the car at 8pm at night. Sitatunga Camp is even nicer (e.g. borehole water), and out of town, so much safer.

Report Check-In

Same people that run the old bridge backpackers so if you want to use their facilities you can and it’s super close. Same price for both (80pula)
The camping sites at rest camp is 10x nicer than old bridge and the pool is better as well.

Report Check-In

Great location, nice level campsites. Good hot showers, clean abolitions, friendly staff. Reasonable fast wifi! 💕

Report Check-In

we stayed for three days, fasilities is fair and camping is cheep.

Report Check-In

Good place, large camping spots.
The water is brown. I spoke to a local water well engineer, who said that it's safe to drink. The brown colour is caused by organic matter in the soil and is the same as in tea. This engineer has the same colour in his well at home and drinks the water. So it should be safe... just looks a bit odd.
This camp has a strong link with the Old Bridge camp. This camp is used as a shortcut through the river, so there are quite some cars (for example Old Bridge safari cars) on the path across the camp site (several per hour).
We paid P80 pp, plus P35 for electricity.

Report Check-In

Campsite is fine. With a lot of shade and trees and space. Only the water is very rusty. Only for doing your dishes The pool is very small.

Report Check-In

Agree, needs some maintenance but in general I would recommend. Clean pool, clean ablutions, good wifi, very peaceful. A short walk over a footbridge to the Old Bridge provides use of a bar and restaurant, with free return shuttle if you don't want to walk back after dark.

Shame about the amount of artificial lighting, especially the flood lights around the perimeter that can't be switched off. Also the water is a bit rusty. No a problem except if you decide to use the laundry service - our clothes came back with more stains than they started with! They refunded our 100pula (for 2x medium sized bags of laundry), but some of the items are ruined - I would advise doing laundry elsewhere!

80pula pppn (away from river) + 35pula per day for power at the site.

Report Check-In

Nice camp setup with lots of trees and space compared to some other campsites in the area, I like this place although it could use some TLC but I like it. Nice mix of travelers and 4x4 rental holiday makers. P80 pppn is a good price as well.

Report Check-In

Still the same prices, 80P without views and 100P with views per person per night. Quiet place, lot of shade, hot showers and good wifi connection.

Report Check-In

Now 80 Pula pppn without river view, 100 Pula pppn with river view. Staff was friendly. All places on sand, shade from many trees, but they should cut them because of very low hanging branches. Tiny, a bit dirty pool, indoor and outdoor showers. Especially the outdoor showers could need some maintenance. The water splashed in every direction. But it is hot. A lot of mosquitos everywhere, also in the toilet.
