Passamos duas noites tranquilas. Ao chegar o Adenilson disse que tomava conta do estacionamento e cobrava R$ 30,00 por carro por tempo indeterminado. Conversei ele fez por R 25,00 e ficamos por lá duas noites. No dia seguinte só vi ele pela manhã e depois não vi mais. Tem uma turma esquisita por lá apesar de não ter visto nada de errado e ter tido noites sem alterações. Próximo tem o ponto de táxi onde tem água e carros por aplicativo também. O estacionamento é próximo da Praça Tiradentes e das principais igrejas históricas que dá pra ir a pé. Na rodoviária tem banheiro a 1,00 que não precisamos usar. A cidade apesar de grande parece muito tranquila.

We spent two peaceful nights. When Adenilson arrived, he said he would take care of the parking and charge R$30.00 per car for an indefinite period. I talked to him and he did it for R25.00 and we stayed there for two nights. The next day I only saw him in the morning and then I didn't see him again. There's a weird crowd there even though I haven't seen anything wrong and have had uneventful nights. Nearby there is a taxi rank where there is water and cars via app as well. Parking is close to Praça Tiradentes and the main historic churches that you can walk to. At the bus station there is a bathroom for 1.00 that we don't need to use. The city, despite being large, seems very peaceful.

Probably the only flat parking option in Ouro Preto. Stayed 2 nights parked parallel to the cemetery wall. Quiet place in the night,
police patrolling regularly, but didn’t contact us. No amenities, a food stall and a supermarket nearby on the main road.

Reforço todos os comentários! É um lugar tranquilo e muito bonito para pernoitar ou passar poucos dias. Tem policiamento, funciona o ponto de água próximo ao ponto de táxi da rodoviária e o banheiro da rodoviária é limpo e tem área plana para estacionamento e espaço para manobrar. Entretanto, tem usuários de drogas na aproximidade e em algumas noites houve barulho deles que incomodou. É bom ficar atento (@rotasnativas)

I reinforce all comments! It is a quiet and very beautiful place to stay overnight or spend a few days. There is police, the water point works next to the taxi stand at the bus station and the bathroom at the bus station is clean and has a flat area for parking and space to maneuver. However, there are drug users in the vicinity and on some nights there was noise from them that bothered. It's good to stay tuned (@rotasnativas)

Local bom para pernoite, sem água/energia mas plano.
Barulho um pouco dos flanelinhas.
Em alguns momentos passaram algumas pessoas atras de drogas, é preciso ficar atento.

Estacionamento público perto da igreja e da rodoviária (onde há banheiro Público por R$1,00 por pessoa durante horário comercial). O local tem calçamento, é relativamente plano. Não tem nenhuma infraestrutura. Durante o dia fica cheio de outros veículos (cuidado para não ficar preso com veículos grandes) eventualmente aparece moradores de ruas/flanelinhas, porém foi tranquilo.

One of the best if not the best spot to stay. We found 2 vans and three Kombihome from Argentina there staying. Next there’s hot shower and bathroom open until 21:00 inside the bus terminal. 0.75 reais to use the bathroom and 10 reais to use the shower. Flat area. There’s water available next to the taxi parking in front of the bus terminal

Um dos melhores senão o melhor local para pernoitar em Ouro Preto. Encontramos duas vans e 3 kombihomes da Argentina. Bem próximo há o terminal rodoviário com banheiro a 75 centavos e 10 reais ducha quente, funciona até as 21. Área plana. Há água disponível perto do estacionamento dos táxis em frente à entrada do terminal

Best bet for spending some time in Ouro Preto. Free & quiet. Showers for R10 at the nearby bus station (toilets & showers at the lower level).

nice spot. flat & not too busy. bit noisy when we were there due to carnival noise coming up from the town, but otherwise I think it would be a peaceful night. no facilities. free.

Parking lot next to the church. Level ground - hard to find in this city. Secure - Policia Militar just down the road. There is a Kombi parked next to the church, full of tourist merchandise. It is left unattended overnight! (can't be moved as it has completely flat tyres) Some traffic noise overnight. Walking distance to the centre, but uphill all the way back. If you're lucky you might see tiny marmosets running along the power lines.
