Definitely the best spot to rest between Nanaimo and Tofino. Enough space for many vehicles, still it never feels crowded due to bushes and trees. The river is beautiful and good to swim in. One of the best spots on Vancouver Island!

Report Check-In

Obviously a popular spot for good reason. Tons of room for several vehicles. Access road is off the highway, try not to miss the turn in like I did. It’s about 15 minutes from the Taylor Arm rest stop coming from Port Alberni. Firepits, beautiful river for swimming. About an hour and twenty minutes drive from Tofino (I stayed here for three nights and drove into Tofino to surf early each morning and returned late at night). Awesome, I’ll be back next season!

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot in the nature with a lot of space and you’re directly at the river/waterfall. Perfect stop on the way to Tofino.

Report Check-In

Best Spot between Nanimo and Tofino. very scenic place, with Lots of places and firepits along a gravel road thats near the river. you can access the river and have a little walk.

Report Check-In

Quite a few spots by the river. Small RV accessible cause the trail isn’t large enough to accommodate big rigs (or else you’re looking at damages). Super quiet during the night, aside from waterfall noise. Fire pits. Watch where you step if you venture in the woods. Lots of human waste left-overs…

Report Check-In

Small place with 2 ways to get in. Narrow entrance with multiple pull over spots. Relatively flat. When driving towards port alberni it’s the first pull off on the left after the bridge from Wally creek

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot, easy access to the river which is great for swimming.
Perfect stop on the way in our out from Tofino.
Didn’t have any trouble finding a spot wheb we arrived at 6:30, but it got quite busy later in the evening

Report Check-In

Plusieurs emplacements. La forêt et les arbres sont magnifiques. Plusieurs accès le long de la rivière. On entend peu de bruit provenant de la route.Beau spot!

Report Check-In

Really nice spot, just off the highway but you cant hear it due to the little waterfall. Beautiful, flat, easy access, next to water what more could you want. Will say that it was crazy busy. We got the last spot around 6pm and people were driving up and down all evening and eventually got intruded on. Dont camp up 10m away from people at 11pm and make loads of noise.

Report Check-In

Amazing spot, you can only hear the water sound. keep it clean.

Report Check-In

I stayed here for two nights. it is a beautiful spot with a waterfall right along the river. Several spots available. It was quiet at night but fairly busy with people stopping by during the day. all spots were taken by evening so get there fairly early if you plan to spend the night in a tent. the river is shallow but deep enough in some spots to take a dip.

Report Check-In

we arrived on a Wednesday evening in July and all but one site was occupied (there were probably six). that being said, the area was super quiet and beautiful (all sites are perched atop the river). it's just over an hour from ucluelet, and zero cell reception until you approach the ucluelet/tofino divider signs. a few mosquitoes and a few black bears spotted nearby.

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot! As described by others. There is NO garbage here. Just Mother Nature at her finest!

Report Check-In

Thai place is great! Right on the water! Would be perfect for a swim in the summer, but a little chilly in April. What a gem!

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot right by the river, easy to find, but would probably be too tight for most RVs

Report Check-In

South side logging road on runs down along the river, flat spots, clear water, swimming hole.

Report Check-In

For a free spot it's great! A little far from Tofino so we only stayed here on the way out. Gorgeous river and falls beside sites. Bit of a narrow/hidden entrance to get in. As stated, great spot, however would be nice if others cleaned up their garbage.. people are what ruin great places like this.

Report Check-In

Very nice little stop, we only stopped for one night, nice waterfall right next to our camp spot along with fire pits. Some garbage and toilet paper around.

Report Check-In

Awesome spot!! Gravel road right off the side of the hwy - no signs.
Parked here for 1 night and loved it, going to stop in again on our way back from Tofino.
No service at this spot.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Wow, this place is grossly over-rated. having read reviews I was expecting something reasonably decent. but you get what you pay for with this one (nothing). Fine for a night to escape the huge fees of Tofino, sadly the place smells bad, has a lot of garbage and is overrun with the "I didn't choose the van life, the van life chose me type." Worst campsite we have had in 3 weeks on the island.

Report Check-In

one of the most beautiful spots we have been. the river is beautiful and right before the waterfall is a perfect spot for swimming. we stayed 2 nights, visited Tofino and came back for 3 nights. stunning

Report Check-In

Superbe endroit et surtout très calme avec le son de la rivière et de la petite cascade d'eau. Accès facile (nous avons un Ford Econoline E250).
Possibilité de faire un feu et les emplacements sont suffisamment grand.
Merci Overlander

Report Check-In

One of the best places I have stayed in Canada! Plenty of spots to pull in and right on the water as well. The waterfall is beautiful and if the weather is warm you can swim. Please, please, please don’t wash your dishes in the nice water feeding into the waterfall as we witnessed someone doing! Look after this place and any other free ones you stay at!

Report Check-In

stayed here one night. first time like I imagined canada. even the highway patrol made his lunchbreak there or stopped someone....dont know but didn't say anything to us. great spot would rate 7/7

Report Check-In

wow super belle place. Juste le bruit de la cascade. plusieurs véhicules étaient là mais il y avait de la place en masse!

Report Check-In

Amazing spot! Simply beautiful! Lots of space for multiple rigs all along the dirt road. We wish we had discovered this place 3 nights ago instead of paying for the overpriced RV Parks in Tofino

Report Check-In

Managed to access with my 27 foot RV. Take the second entrance coming from Tofino. The first one is just behind the bridge, the second one which is larger, is located about 200 meters down the road. Watch the trees when driving in!
There are many nice spots along the river and waterfall including fire pits. Once you’re in you can easily find a good spot.
Such an amazing place, please keep it clean and respect the locals.
No cell service, no toilets. Toilets and wifi located at the next rest area just 10 minutes drive.

Report Check-In

There’s a small Rockpool on the right side of the waterfall. Be careful when climbing down - it wasn’t very slippery when we climbed down. The Rockpool is amazing! See pictures!

Report Check-In

One of the best campspots we ever had! You can camp next to a beautiful waterfall! There are two entrances. We stopped with our rv at the side of one entrance to check it out. The one entrance is very small and tight. But there’s another entrance where we could go through with our 28 feet van! We had an amazing bath in the waterfall -with wetsuit;)

Report Check-In

Soooo beautiful! We slept right next to the waterfall, it was amazing. A lot of mosquitoes though but still a wonderful place! Please keep it clean!

Report Check-In

Magnifique. Eau turquoise, feu de camp...
7-8 emplacements.
Attention, chemin d'accès vraiment très étroit. On a frotté notre camper sur les branches. j'ai dû couper quelques branches pour passer!

Report Check-In

Superb!! Such a beautiful spot next to the canyon. Really quiet and felt safe with the other campers.

Report Check-In

Nice place beside the Kennedy River, quiet at night

Report Check-In

Amazing place right off the highway. But you don’t here it!! Can only recommend it!

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot. Stayed there for one night and nobody was there :) might be depending on the pre season. But sadly you see a bit litter around.

Report Check-In

Great place. There are two ways to get into here. It is a big loop that comes out back on main road. The entrance closest to the bridge is the tighter way in. The entrance further away from the bridge is a little more open. There is a small turn around by water falls listen for them. I drove my Class A 22’ 2wd in and turned it around. However, I walked it before driving it. Be aware of snow level before pulling in. Was nice to park and listen to waterfall all night. Great Place with great view and sound. Please keep it clean.

Report Check-In

Beautiful place, although to overgrown for our Sprinter van. There is a pullout very close to the start of the road and we just parked there and walked to see the river. Wish we could have camped further in, but still a good place for the night.

Report Check-In

oh ouah ! It's an amazing place, beautiful view, just the noise from the River... We met a local guy, he was a little bit sad than this place is not a secret anymore.. Other people came to sleep here too.

Report Check-In

Awesome spot, great swimming and beautiful scenery... but watch your step! Too many people crapping in the woods. Lots of TP laying around. We even found a pile of poo carefully covered in small rocks, 3 feet from the tire of our van. Gross...

Report Check-In

Great spot. It's a narrow loop road with plenty of pull outs to park and camp. River with swimming pools 10m away. You can see the road on open street maps or satellite view on your phone / computer.

Report Check-In

Wonderful spot with mosquitos though. As in previous comments mentioned, if you drive further down the road and make a right turn you’ll get to a nice spot with direct river access and fire pits. Maximum 2 campervans (no RV due to thick forest) possible on this specific spot. The other on this pullout offer 9-10 spots for RVs or campervans.

Report Check-In

We tried to get in there but the road was to small and narrow or we where to big. ;-)

Report Check-In

simple perfection! quiet, beautiful, place to swim and lots of little spots with fire pits!

Report Check-In

Thanks for this beautiful place!
Please keep it so nice and take all your trash with you when you leave, which includes glas bottles and toilet paper. Thanks!

Report Check-In

As described- a absolutely beautiful spot! We enjoyed the sound of the waterfall-great location!

Report Check-In

Very nice spot for one or more nights! Beautiful waterfall! As described! Thank you!

Report Check-In

Absolutely lovely spot right off highway 4. The waterfall is big and loud, which helps block out other noise. There are 4 to 6 spots along the way with home made fire pits and big enough for a car or truck to turn around.
There is also another spot if you keep down the trail and turn right when you can. There is a spot there but only suitable for a small car due to overgrown nature. Right beside the river as well, where it is a bit calmer.
Definitely recommend!

Report Check-In

The location is a beautiful box canyon with free camping sites
A perfect place to swim in the clear river and spend one or tow nights. A few place with firerings and Riveracces.
A realy small and narrow track goes down from the Highway. Quite and only waternoise.
Say thanks for this beautiful place :)
