Go through the big parking area heading north and you'll find a ton more spaces on different plateaus that are more private.
Decent verizon cell. I got to this nice spot (1 plateau higher) in a 2wd minivan.
Not sure how tenting would workout, the ground is rock. No pit toilets, too rocky to dig a hole so plan accordingly. I hiked up the rock mountain in back, pretty views. View from the van was decent.
I think its $10 for a day pass
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.

2 miles down the road at Cattail Campground are hot showers and a water bottle fill dispenser(at the bath house).
I think its $10 for a day pass but I went around 5 pm so I just parked at the front building and walked in.
