Report Check-InNo flat space and along main road through town. Went to sports center instead.
Report Check-InWe stayed one night, really kind people and really safe. Just in front of the tourism office and free public bathrooms (no shower).
Report Check-InAt the risk of sounding a bit judgemental... this is a lovely town which seems to have been overtaken by a swarm of single, upper-middle-aged gringo males who may gotten stuck there since the seventies after too much experimentation. You’ll recognise them by their ponchos, five finger shoes, khaki pants, loud, exaggerated Spanish phrases, turquoise jewellery, tales of women conquered, and exclamations like, “Bro, you have to liberate your mind of those ideas, bro.”
They have a locally brewed IPA cerveza though. $3. There are two internet shops at the main plaza. We tried one. The speed was medium. $1 per hour. The plaza free WiFi didn’t work for us. Public baños are clean and have power plugs if you’re in a pinch. They are located between the ATM and the Internet cafe (exactly where shown on the MapOut app).
The ATM fee was $1.50.
