Few spots for camping at Kitimat river. Turn right behind the bridge if you drive south. Nothing special but the river is nice.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Stayed here 2 nights. There were 14 or so RVs of different types parked here with nobody around. We basically had the place to ourselves and nabbed a nice spot by the river beside one of the RVs and had no issues. One guy came back to his rig in the middle of the night but didn't bother us and we hope we didn't bother him. Government fisheries team showed up one morning to launch a boat.
Report Check-InDid not stay since we have friends around but stopped by to see. It was full pack for Canada day long weekend. Lots of big rigs. True that it’s right by the road, but still in the forest by a river.
Report Check-InNice natural campsite.
Close to the road so be prepared for the road noise.
Tons of driftwood laying around for campfires.
Big rig friendly if it's not to busy.
