Uruguay
historic park and free picnic/camping area; very nice view over the river at the Monument of General Artigas; slipway often used by anglers; hot shower by own fired wood oven, many concrete picnic tables and grills; at the last weekend of Sept. 2016 (may be yearly?) the place was full - a big Gaucho Festival was celebrated.
In 2017 they opened a new visitor center with leaflets about Uruguay and with superb toilets during the day.

Lugar tranquilo y familiar. Pequeño muelle.. Gratis!
Beautiful wooded place with good shade on the river, plugs and sink to wash. Further up in another area there are tables, barbecues and bathrooms with showers. Quiet and familiar place. Small pier.. Free!
Report Check-Infryday evening and Little People here. Fishing area is flooded. campsite ok but we decided to sleep undercover the protection of Artigas on top of the meseta. Long distance views into Argentina and along the river.
Report Check-InReally great and quiet place (at least off season). Different kind of spots to chose from, we decided to stay down by the river and except some friendly fishermen in the evening we didn’t see anyone and had a really quiet night.
Kostenlos.
Report Check-InThis camping was absolutely beautiful, and free! Great views of the river. Campsites on hills, also some down to the riverbanks (although most there seemed occupied by local families who were staying a while). Electricity, tables and grills at sites.
