Very unfriendly and didn't even try to listen to us. Sent us away immediately and told us to try in El Chaltén.

Very friendly guy.
You can exchange only Argentina’s yellow bottles and he doesn’t refill here (but he proposed us to come as its home to refill our German bottle).

Update to our previous post: we came as agreed at 4pm at the man’s home address but he was not there; tried 3 more times but nothing. Today we passed by at 4pm and succes! See review from other location. Our advice would be to visit this place between 10-2 so you can make an appointment to meet with the guy at his home address.

The very kind man said it is not permitted to fill our (EU) bottle but he send us to his home address to meet with him in the afternoon. (Jose formetti 390)

VERY nice, friendly and helpful guys here. Exchanged our almost empty small 7,7 kg Canadian gas bottle (the pressure of which is too low for our heating system) for a 10 kg Argentinian one, no problem. Left the Canadian bottle here. New bottle costs 38.000 pesos. Guy here says that the 10 kg bottle should work for the heating system. Let’s hope so!

To clarify: they used to do refilling, but now it's only possible by going to the other butane point in El Calafate. There (not here), the grandpa of the guy who work here will do it, if you're lucky to find him at home.

Stop and check with Nestor about filling tank. His number and address are included in a previous comment. He was able to help full our US tank with an adapter. Extremely nice guy and we are so excited to have propane!!!!

500 pesos to fill our US tank (1 gallon/2 kilos). Dropped off at 10:30 and picked up at 11:30. Super friendly guy. No adapter needed.

Friendly guy filled my German bottles using the US adapter I had. Told me they have propane only which is good for cold climate. One bottle was overfilled and the security vent leaked some propane. Kind of ok if you happen to have a ventilated and sealed cylinder compartment in your camper. Otherwise you might have to wait for the bottle to settle...

There is a really nice guy, he is able to fill your bottle but you need your own adapter for Czech bottles (probably European) he doesn’t have the adapter. Unfortunately we didn’t have it, so we are without the gas, but we tried.

Attention! Place does not fill bottles, only does swap for argentine gas bottles. Closest refilling station is in Rio Gallegos or Puerto Natales (border crossing as it’s in Chile).
