Something not right?

Description

A double in this hotel is very expensive : 158 USD. We ask at the desk if we could park our car in front of the hotel to sleep inside, they agree. It was cold and windy, the owner told us if we were interested by a room at 50 USD with open breakfast (very poor); after 7 days of rough nights...we accepted.
This special price is lower because rooms are in another construction reserved for the guides of tour operators, at 300 meters from the main hotel.
Diner : 18 USD/pers. including the vision of a magnificent sunset before and during the meal...
Wi-Fi is not really valid in this place.

Everything as described. I got here after a 4 1/2h ride from eco hostel. for lunch I paid 35 BoB, it was also possible to pay 5 US dollars. I would expect more for 35 but I was very hungry anyway. i set up my tent next to the house were the drivers and workers sleep.

I was already sleeping at 9pm when 2 young lady's showed up and gave me a full plate of rice, sausage, fried eggs & muffin. they told me I can use the toilets in the house and charge my things. if I'm cold I could stay inside.
that was a very nice surprise.

We had a great camping experience here, but things were a little different again from past commenters. Firstly, we were offered the dorm for $25 WITHOUT breakfast. We didn’t push on this because we didn’t plan to do it, but the lovely Guido on reception didn’t seem to be moving on that. We chose to camp for free.

The wind was howling when we were here and the annex didn’t really give any protection, so we asked if we could camp right beside the lobby by the (clean) bins. Didn’t expect a yes but it was no problem! Meant our tents were surrounded by walls on three sides and that cooking using our stoves was actually pretty easy. Also meant we could hang inside the warm lobby and still see all our stuff. We were allowed to use the toilets behind the lobby, but we were not granted access to a shower as previous campers were. We also weren’t offered breakfast leftovers, alas!

Overall a good experience, very welcoming staff, and free.

Camped behind the drivers’ dorm. There was plenty of flat space. Could use the nice bathrooms for free. Wouldn’t let us pay with card for dinner though- cash only. Let us sit in the lobby on the WiFi in the evening.

in addition to the last two comments for cyclists: we did not camp in our tent, because there was no good flat space behind the building and the smoke of the chimneys blew directly there.
first they showed us the rooms in the building for tourguides but then we got the last room on the right side of the main building. unfortunately the shower did not get very warm. everything else very comfortable. nice and friendly. amazing breakfast! not the cheapest place to stay on the lagunas route, but for us much better then "eco"lodge los flamingos.

The 25$pp is a good deal, cause you get a private room with hot shower, power to charge your devices and and an amazing breakfast of fruit, cheese, eggs, bread, oats, fresh juice, coffee,...
We also had the 3 course dinner for 20$ but it was a bit small for us hungry cyclists.
The staff was super friendly and when there aren't too many people in the lobby the wifi is decent too. The only negative point is that when we were there their water filter didn't work and they didn't have potable water except overpriced 600ml bottles for 20 BOB.

Cyclists here! Options we were given:
- Single bed in dorm, $25 USD (cards accepted)
- or Camping for free. We camped!

You camp outside. The building by which you camp has very clean showers/toilets. We took super hot showers, it was amazing :) No cost for use of showers/toilets.

The main building, were reception is, has a common area with couches and a nice fire. It was very cozy. We sat there for hours before returning to our tent. They have a spigot by reception, so we filled up our bottles there. Again, the staff was super kind to us and we were very grateful.

For breakfast, we went back to reception to sit inside. We asked if we could get some hot water to prepare our oats and they offered us hot water, instant coffee and a bunch of fruit, bread, juice and cheese leftover from the tour breakfast (tours leave around 7:30). We’re so grateful to these folks!

No tienda to buy snacks.

Very nice place in an unreal location. Hotel rooms are still expensive (150$). We could camp or stay in a dorm room for drivers with shared bathroom, with just the two of us (no drivers) for 25$pp incl. breakfast. Dinner for 20$pp. The people are really nice, we could also fill our water supply for free

The workers were very kind to us. They let us fill up our bottles, then let us camp behind the annexe and the best was that we could have a hot shower 🚿 We fell asleep more than happy!

Just stopped in to fill our water bottles. Potable, and free. Was able to use the washrooms too.

Slept in the back of the truck in their parking lot with no problem... They could offer dinner for $18/pp but we just ate in the truck. Pretty relaxed here and a beautiful sunset view.

Traveling by bicycle will allow you to camp behind the annex, have access to water, have a hot shower and if you are lucky receive left over from 4x4 tour.

Report Check-In

Filled up our water here for free. It's not salt or dulce water, it's normal water, is what the guy said. Not sure what that means but it's good for cooking and cleaning.
