Description

Our favourite Spot in the Pantanal. We camped right on the edge of a pond with crocodiles, cabybaras and all kind of different birds. They offer different activities like boat-tours , fishing, night-safari also. But the 1km walk on an elevated boardwalk along the Pond over a suspension bridge and along the river is perfect for leisurely enjoying the wildlife. With 25 Reales p/p much more reasonable than most of the estanzias nearby. Highly recommended. Turn right at the sign, after 200m you enter the premises but don' t stop here turn right at the parking lot and follow the small road for close to 2km until you reach the end of the road turn right at the parking lot. the area behind the building is the camp area. electricity is 220V from the outlet at the lamp-post. walk along the boardwalk to the restaurant and check-in at the reception.

Very beautiful place but the camping doesn’t work any more. Good place for booking a boat, rent horses or get dinner.

Report Check-In

We asked at the reception, but camping or parking is no longer allowed.

temporarely closed. they say because there are a lot of jaguars in the neighbourhood.

now the trail is a nice passarella along the river and inside the forest. lots of birds, some capybaras, few caïmans.
Pantanal is very very dry in this moment (there is no rain for 3years!) so few animals... but the place is nice

If you sleep dont go on thé right if thé parking behind thé building because it is dirty and full ofmossuitos ... boat trip : 2 jours for 500 for 4 peuple ... nothing soecizl tonsee many birds 3 Caïmans

Ok camping. Toilets are clean. Showers are far away....25brl p/P.

We don’t share the enthusiastic comments. The trail is nice and if this place it is on your way than is it ok to camp for one night. You cannot start the trail from the place where you camp, because of fallen trees and no maintanance anymore. From the hotel you can start. We saw a lot of birds, a couple of capibara’s and kaymen. Shower is a little far away, didn’t look well maintained. We didn’t try it.

Paid 50 bar for 2 adults and a 5 year old. Price may be per vehicle, not per car. Plugged into electric on lamppost. Sinks available for washing. Staff very friendly. We enjoyed it here as the area to park is next to river and walkway, caimans, family of capybara at your doorstep. Birds of every kind everywhere! Some employees speak English and they offered to open up room for showers when we wanted. Decent bathroom available 24/7 near the camping area by guards gate.

Although walkway was blocked, we climbed around it and did the whole loop. There are some loose boards, couple missing boards, but still safe enough that I felt no worries walking it with a 5 year old. He enjoyed the suspension bridge part a lot.

You can fish off the pier near the restaurant. Caught small piranhas. Have to go to restaurant for wifi. It's slow, and manager or staff must type it in each one of your devices. They reboot often trying to make it go faster.

We stayed here for 1 night for 25 reals/pp. It is not an official campground like mentioned before but an open spot next to the "workersbuilding" and at the start of the walking trail that they let you use. There were some old cars and other stuff there but it didn't bother us. At this place you have water, electricity and a toilet nearby. We could use the WiFi and showers but for those you need to go to the hotel which is a bit further. We were helped by a very friendly staff and whom were able to speak english with us. Payment with card is not possible.

Passo do Lontra Parque Hotel. Pantanal - MS

Vale a pena!

Not nice for camping (lots of old stuff lying around like broken washingmashine etc).
RV okay but not for tents. 25reais ppn, manager unfriendly.

Report Check-In

Nice place as the others said. Correction to the instructions. When you get to the parking, go to the second pert that is close to the wooden bridge. Turn right to the small road and drive for 100 meters to the camping. Paid 30R PP

Report Check-In

not really welcoming, dirty facilities far away from the camping, 35R p/p - definitely not worth it. Alligators you will see at any other bridge along the road as well.

Report Check-In

Great spot with awesome wildlife! A bit muddy road in rain season, we used 4x4 to get there. A lot of moscitos but worth the pain.
