Pleasant enough spot for the night and no signs prohibiting overnight camping. Parked past the lakeside picnic benches near the Cumo bluff trailhead. Set back from the lake but a bit of a view from our truckhouse. Quiet and level with outhouses within a short walking distance.

A wonderful spot even on a rainy day. There’s a flatter parking spot near the trail head past the outhouses. The outhouses were clean and stocked. The trails were well maintained and a recent new bike trail (to the left) is a nice mellow hike, though we were running late and never got to the end of it. Lots of nice lookouts along it as well. The trail up to the main lookout is steeper, older, narrower, and you have to watch closely for the it. Take the road to the right past the trailhead, then stay left on the mellow bike trail; you don’t go far before the old lookout trail crosses the bike trail. There’s a small yellow hiking sign with an arrow pointing straight up the hill. You can take the other bermy bike trail down from the base of the viewpoint to the bottom if you want a loop hike. It’s the bike trail that goes to the right at the bottom. Note it was snowing at the top when we were there mid-June so be prepared.

This is an awesome informal campground, 2km out of Atlin. Just before entering town. Near como lake. Beautiful spot! Pic nic table and out house facilities
