Something not right?

Description

Quiet campground, even on weekends. Helpful ranger and good wifi. But be aware of tiny mosquitos during dusk and dawn. No net will keep you safe. You have to close all windows until they are gone. Access is signposted on the main road. All vehicles can get into the park as long as it is dry.

Latest Check-Ins

It was a deception!
There are at the moment no animals around, not at the campground (they rebuilding something) and also no birds nore animals around the walkways or river.
At 7 am they started not only chasing animals away, but also us, the tourists, by mowing just next to our car where we still slept in.
So the sand, stones, branches did hit our car!

Our advise, do not go here. Or first find out how things are here now.
The other side, Laguna Blanca, is CLOSED !!!
We went there from here. The rangers did not tell us the other part is closed.
So, again, check before you drive up!

amazing place. we spent one week there. all by overselves in the camping área. only workers during the day in the distance. hot showers, we were given wifi access, electricity connections. we were told it is imposible to enter when raining, even for 4x4 vehicles. but it had not been raining for a while nor when we were there. full of different type of birds, lizards and frogs :)
and lots of mosquitos, yes, but with a good repellent we did just fine

There is a gate at entrance, open it and ger in. There is a camping, turn on the lights at the toilets and enjoy. Hot shower, tablet and parrilla. A National Park exclusive for you to enjoy alone!

Edit: Saw some locals on the road back into town and they said we could just drive through, no problem. There was just no one present on the campground, which is why they barrier was down I think.
We did the drive until the rio and then turned back because we're crossing borders tomorrow and needed wifi. Good network present at the campground but not much use without the password.

Entrance was closed... No sign to explain why or for how long. We arrived at 3.30pm on a Thursday. Turned back into town...

As described, still free access and camping. The track to the river might be closed and even access to the camp is difficult if possible at all WHEN WET. Showers were cold when we visited

we stayed here allone with our motorhome. Nice and quiet place. Warm showers but o.k. and relativ clean. We drove also to the end from the park to the river Pilcomayo and saw two caimans down at the river banks. Don't be noisy, they are very shy. All is free of carge. Nice and friendly ranger.

If you are sleeping in the tent - use laguna Blanca to spend the night. Mosquitos here are very angry, they will not respect your repellent, your thick clothes and anti-mosquito spirals. Also, did not see any special animals or birds here - just regular small foxes and a few monkeys. Wifi was only in the evening and very slow.
