Nice place for the night. There's enough light to feel safe, but not too much to keep you awake if you don't have blackout curtains!
There's a bit of road noise from the nearby highway.
We double-checked with customer service about staying overnight and they were friendly :) As previously mentioned, use RV/Truck parking on North side of building. They did recommend locking up or bringing in your rig anything like bikes because there have been thefts in the past.
BONUS: There's a pet area by the RV/Truck parking to walk your pet AND kennels if you need to put them in while you go into Cabela's.

Cabela’s in Wichita, KS is a great spot to spend the night. We called ahead of time since the last entry on iOverlander was in 2022. The Customer Service Desk said yes to over nights, and directed us to the North Side of the building (if you are facing the front door in your RV, turn right and go around the side of the building and you’ll see a sign for RV/Camper Parking. Quiet, out of the way and great for a Saturday night stay over on our way north.

There are signs stating NO OVERNIGHT PARKING unfortunately. There was a great rest stop at the junction of 400 and 169 about 150 miles east of here if your are in a pinch!

Very nice spot to park overnight. Safe and quiet. The dump station is a screw off sewer clean out style. There is a water faucet near the dump spot. There are picnic tables next to the pond and

Dump station officially decommissioned but still there… do with that what you will.

Stayed here in front of Cabelas near the pond. Busy parking lot during the day but very quiet at night. Went inside and shopped and mentioned staying the night. They say it’s welcomed and said they have numerous people stay there.

great overnight stop with designated parking off to the side.

Report Check-In

Spent one night here in the RV spots right next to the dump. Pretty quiet and no one bothered us. I’d recommend showing up after the store closes because employees also park in these spots so it can be very obvious you are staying here.

Report Check-In

Still good for a one nite stop over. $5 for the dump station. No potable water. Was stupid hot, ran generator and AC from 8P-8A. No issues.

Report Check-In

Pulled in about midnight and there were no cars. Someone might have come around and flashed their flashlight at the van, but we were left alone. You could kinda hear toad noise but it wasn’t bad.

Report Check-In

They have RV parking lanes and a dump station, however when we went they were filled with staff cars. We ended up parking against the target wall (in between Target & Cabelas) and it was fine
